jranieli
metsblog MLB.com is reporting that Shawn Green has been dealt along with cash considerations to the Mets in exchange for a minor leaguer. Green agreed to waive his no-trade clause, but the deal needs approval from the Commissioner's office...
Blue Jeans
:explode: Now we're stuck with this douche and his contract for another year. Shit, I would have liked Moises Alou for this year only 100x better.

gateb
We also got cash considerations from the D'backs too. Our FO knows what it is doing, we aren't paying his full contract.

I don't want this guy on the team next year. We better be trading him in the offseason Cameron-Nady esque.
Reaper
Maybe Green will get better pitches to hit in our line up and play better?

Blue Jeans
MacLane, 23, posted a 3.86 ERA in 20 starts this season for Triple-A Norfolk. He began the year with Double-A Binghamton, going 3-1 with a 4.64 ERA in six starts. In four Minor League seasons, MacLane, the Mets' 25-round selection in the 2003 First-Year Player Draft, is 35-20 with a 3.19 ERA in 89 games (77 starts). We are going to regret this, Norfolk is a terrible offensive team and he could have been in the big league club if he had 1 more run in run support per game.
