Main back and good back are two different things.

Ain't no one afraid of Singletary but he's good enough.

He's like Rueben Drougns 2.0

Nah he’s averaging over 5 yards a carry he’s good.

Yeah weird turns out you don’t have to pay out your ass for a good rb

This... the position can go to a mid round guy and be alright.  It is the most natural position in all of football.  Just pick up the ball and run while avoiding guys.

Once again, we had a chance to step on a team's neck and we sit back and give them a chance. Fortunately the Browns were awful. Anyone complaining about Jones, can look across the field today and see the mess Deshaun Watson has become.

That said, the first half was great. Defense was humming and Daboll's playcalling was the best so far this season. Nabers is the real deal. JMS is much better this season. Wandale is a weapon.  A lot of positives.

Then the second half, all we had to do was ball control. We throw to Nabers on a first and 10, and we miss. All good. But then Daboll dials it up again and now another miss and it's 3rd and 10. To me, that once again is someone trying to outsmart football. We struggled after that and it was a relief that Singletary run it out, by the way, he's been very solid so far.

And they should go out and search for another kicker because that fucking field goal attempt at the end was so bad.

He was my one true love.

Hey, I had the guys shirt. I was bummed out but I'll never fault Schoen for this. The team overall had to address other areas and paying him 12 million a year is stupid for us.

Lotta big flaws with this team but they are improving on both sides of the ball and it was awesome to see them fight after that brutal start.  The last time I saw them move the ball like they did on those two first half drives was probably the first drive of last season before JMS fumbled that snap.  Hard to believe we’re a fg injury away from 2-1

(Not having) Barkley is the reason we won today too.

Bring back Joe Morris....Otis Anderson, while we are at it.  Never overpay running backs.  They get punished on most offensive plays and their shelf life is usually less than 8-10 years.

Time to get over Barkley. Eagles overall do not look like a team competing for a superbowl right now even with him.

Please... once he was gone the romance was over.  This is a business that we cheer for.  No more, no less.

Daniel Jones is buying himself another year as starter.

I agree - thought he played well under pressure against a damn good Browns Defense. Singletary's fumble just deflated the momentum we had on offense in the 2nd half and then inexplicably Bowen decided to go away from what was working and went away from blitzing which gave the Browns some kind of life. Unless we somehow make the playoffs this year and Jones just decides to ball the fuck out - I still think Giants look at QB next draft - someone who is a sure upgrade over Jones if any - not another Bryce Young type bum.

“Giants' defensive snap counts vs. Browns:

• Dexter Lawrence was typically dominant with two sacks and four QB hits. Injuries forced the Browns to juggle their offensive line, so Lawrence was going against a backup center in the second half. That's just not fair.

Elijah Chatman made an impact with his first career sack and a fumble recovery. The Giants controlled this game up front, with the run defense bouncing back as well.

• Brian Burns wasn't on much of a pitch count despite the groin injury being enough of a concern that they did a pregame workout to confirm he was ready. He was. That's the type of impact you expect from a $141M player. His strip sack late in the first half was one of the biggest plays of the game.

Kayvon Thibodeaux was active, splitting a sack with Azeez Ojulari and combining with Lawrence to blow up a third-and-1 QB sneak late.

It felt like Ojulari played more, but his snap count wasn't really any higher. He just made much more of an impact. That looked like the early-career Ojulari.

• Bobby Okereke has now played 1,322 consecutive snaps since joining the Giants. Okereke and Micah McFadden made a huge impact with their blitzes up the middle. Even if they didn't get home, they forced Deshaun Watson to panic and/or helped other players get sacks.

McFadden missed three snaps with a back injury, but returned for the next series. Playing LB with a back injury seems like a miserable experience and probably something McFadden is just going to have to deal with for a while. He's such an active player and really made his presence felt on blitzes.

• The cornerback spot is in an alarming spot. Forget Deonte Banks getting picked on by Watson and Amari Cooper. The depth is being tested significantly, with Dru Phillips and Adoree' Jackson both suffering calf injuries in the first half yesterday. Those are rarely short-term injuries.

Cor'Dale Flott showed his versatility, starting outside, moving into the slot, shifting back outside and then finishing in the slot. Was surprised Watson didn't try to exploit Jerry Jeudy's matchup with Flott more.

Isaiah Simmons was called on to play a lot of nickel corner in the second half and was quiet in a good way. Again, surprising the Browns weren't able to find anything with Elijah Moore's quickness matched up with Simmons.

Art Green, who was elevated from the practice squad to play special teams, was forced to play outside corner in the dime package in the second half. He was even playing outside corner in the nickel on the Browns' final possession with Flott replacing Simmons in the slot. Again, not sure how Watson didn't even test a practice squad elevation playing his first career snaps.

Doesn't bode well for Tre Hawkins that he was a healthy scratch with Green getting elevated over him. Nick McCloud said he was hopeful to return from a knee injury for the Dallas game, but the short week will make that a challenge. Giants definitely need him.

• Jason Pinnock is tied with Lawrence for the team lead with three sacks. I don't think many would have had the safety as the sack leader through three weeks. Pinnock's athleticism makes him a great blitzer and helped him thrive in Wink Martindale's system. Credit to Shane Bowen for using Pinnock's strengths in his system.”
