Storm
It was 4th and a half an inch. The call is to go for it so it doesnt come down to do or die.

Storm
Giving up A field goal and theyre still only down one score, you guys are out of your mind. 4th and inches is way easier to get than scoring a TD in under 50 seconds.
MakeMeSomeFoodHo
That tip pick 6 is the game. Overall, they didn't play too badly...againgst a very good opponent too. Defense was impressive

What's to say they continue down the field after getting 4th and short?

Storm
lol They were driving down the field, they just fucked up. What's to say they continue down the field after getting 4th and short? It doesnt matter. You know with 2 timeouts against a ball control offense that 7 minutes equals one last possession, if the Jags get the ball. So instead of risking a 4th and inches and admittedly at least a field goal attempt, they played not to lose rather than handing off to their number 2 overall pick and trusting him to gain an inch, which has all game. Its not the right choice in the NFL, against that team.

Iceman_NYG
Considering it was the No.1 defense, I think the Giants played quite well to keep me excited for the season. A few near misses on OBJ and Eli and this game could have been very different. I for one am not too disappointed in this showing.

The defense really turned up in the second half. You're saying the Giants should of gone for it, but they would of still had to drive down the field and score from the 25 yard line, something they havent done most of the game. They punt and get the stop, they still have to drive down the field and win the game. They don't get it, the Jags, kick a FG (and then you have to drive down the field for a 2 pt conversion to tie the game), or at worse a TD and then the game is entirely out of hand.
