GorillaNJ Posted July 31 Share Posted July 31 The Mets had a really good set of trades setting up for a playoff run without giving up any of their top end young talent. Winker gives them a quality left hand bat and outfielder Blackburn gives them an upgrade at the back end of the rotation, especially with how strong the infield is defensively, he has a chance to be much better in Queens Maton, Stanek, Zuber and Brazoban are all quality relievers which has been the biggest weakness of this team. Maybe we see one of the AA or AAA prospects get called and add to the pen or the starting rotation The only thing they missed out on was a stud starter, but I think the prices were just too high for a team to trade one of them.
