Tomko (5-3, 4.38 ERA) will step on the mound and attempt to end a personal two-game slide. He remained on the hill for just three innings - his shortest outing of the season - of a 9-3 loss to Atlanta on Wednesday. Tomko was blistered for seven runs - five earned - and six hits. The 33-year-old is 4-6 with a 5.32 ERA in 12 starts against the Mets. The Dodgers endured a split of four games with the Philadelphia Phillies after a 6-4 fall on Sunday. Rookie Russell Martin hit his third career home run. Soler (0-1, 7.36) gets the call from New York. The Cuban righthander was blasted for seven runs - two homers - and eight hits in five frames of a 7-2 setback to Arizona on Tuesday. The Mets dropped two of three to the San Francisco Giants following a 7-6, 12th-inning loss on Sunday. Soler 7ip 1 run Feliciano gets 2 outs Bradford gets 4 outs Mets win, pen is rested and Soler gets W #1. Could not have asked for more for the start of a road trip, nice win!
