Sephiroth
As I said in another thread... I like Spags a lot... but three of the last four years he's had a defense in the bottom-two in the NFL, and two of them were historically bad. It's time for a change there. So is this change for the sake of change or change for an improvement? Jack Del Rio does not strike me as an improvement at defensive coordinator. I thought he's flunked out of everywhere he went.

Sephiroth
Denver DC from 2012-2014. Finished second, 16th,and 3rd overall respectively, though it's admittedly a small sample size.
MakeMeSomeFoodHo
I like that del rio is a fiery guy. I think this team needs a guy like that. Why did we let coughlin go again?

And he was the DC in Carolina in 2002, when the D carried that team to the Super Bowl.

If by flunk out you mean perform so admirably that he immediately gets Head Coaching offers, then yes, he flunked out everywhere he's been defensive coordinator. That's what I like most about Del Rio.. we do need a change of attitude on this team... Coughlin was partly a victim of the roster but his antics and the fact he hired and kept morons as his coordinators was a good enough reason for me to show him the door... love the old man but that was a fatal flaw in my book.
