NightFire
Thus far in his career, Eli Manning has faced the Minnesota Vikings 8 times. In those games, he has thrown 5 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Of those interceptions, 5 have been returned for a touchdown, the most by any team that he has played against. Also the last trips to Minnesota have been great. Last year OBJ is suspended and the time before that the dome collapses.
Sephiroth
We'll be 2-2 by this time next week, and 2-3 the week after. Like I've been saying... same old Giants.
Mr. P
Yikes, we may only win by like 90.

gmenroc
If we don't take care of the football against the Vikings, the sails will deflate, hope will be lost... ...but then, we'll likely start winning again to prolong the torture. UK-Giantsfan
we had better be careful with the bloody Duke this week or things could get messy ........and how about a bloody pass rush eh ?
Nas
I'm hoping Eli got a few INTs out of his system against the Skins already...
Herc
Been worried about this game all month. Our d line needs to step up and crush their weak o-line to keep this close
BlueInCanada
This game is more on McAttack and the coaches than the players IMO. It will show how McAdoo can motivate the team after a demoralizing loss and a game that was easily winnable, and how he responds to some key players most likely being out. Spags needs to learn how to adapt to a simple game change in the offence, he cant stick to his guns every drive when the OC for the other team figures out what it is. Honestly I think this game has more importance on the season then any other game, and will show the type of HC we will have at the helm for the next number of years. Gints 20-17, Gints overcome a three INT Eli day.

Ah yes, Darren Sharper, one of the most hardest hitting safeties in the league. He owned Eli. Not the most upstanding citizen, though.
Iceman_NYG
Giants will win this on a stellar day from Eli to Beckham. Bradford will be forced into mistakes all day.....DRC should shut down Diggs....Asiata and McKinnon arent running against our DL.
Iceman_NYG
Im surprised at the no. of good runs we are having in the middle of the field.....its been quite effective. Vereen's loss is a bitch. Maybe the Darkwa Rainey punch is good. I remmeber Rainey being quite solid at Tampa
Gman329
I'm worried about this one. Minny D Line is very physical and very good. I can see them manhandling our OL. Also, that new stadium is apparently super loud and you know they'll be roaring on their first Monday night, national TV game. If things start going south, it could snowball in a hurry. Could be a long night. Frankly, I'm surprised the spread is only 4.
Herc
I am too. If I weren't a giant fan I'd be all over the -
Gman329
I quit betting real $$ on the NFL decades ago, so it's only pools now....but I go against the Giants sometimes and this week will likely be one of those times. If I lose the bet, I'm happy. If the Giants lose, at least I won the bet! I think of it as misery insurance.

It's gonna be a long night, Giants fans. Most likely they'll tease us as they always do in prime time, find a way to lose in the last two minutes, and have everybody who watched the game wound up until 2AM. Allstarjim
Minny just held Kelvin Benjamin to zero catches. It's gonna be a long night, Giants fans. Most likely they'll tease us as they always do in prime time, find a way to lose in the last two minutes, and have everybody who watched the game wound up until 2AM. I don't think that's going to happen this time. For one, I think NFL defenses try to break tendencies and scout themselves to try and counter likely game plans against them. Of course they have to pay attention to Odell, but if I'm them I'm going to try and neutralize Shepard with their top corner in Xavier Rhodes, and then mix up coverage underneath as well as over the top safety help for Odell. They do have a great defense. What the Giants absolutely must do in this game is to run effectively. That's going to be a challenge. Otherwise, you might as well just go for a big play offense and try to hit on some deep balls, because I don't believe the Giants will have much success sustaining drives via dinking and dunking with short passing plays down the field. I think this will play into the Vikings' strength. They will need to hit on big plays downfield, play good defense and pressure Bradford, and try to get some big special teams plays to win this one. Because Odell is their best deep threat, I expect for him to get some downfield shots in this game. From a strategic standpoint, and this is a wild card idea... I would activate Jerrell Adams and have a package of plays for him to work deep and seam routes where his size and speed would provide some mismatches favoring the Giants. I'm looking for a big game from OBJ, though.
Sharick88
The giants have a chance if they use their receivers like their supposed to. Donnell and Tye should not see a ball thrown their way. Both them suck ass.

Tempest
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/eli-manning-jokes-giants-qb-laughs-talking-vikings-article-1.2810855 Manning was asked why the Vikings have had his number throughout his career – or, in other words, why Minnesota’s defense owns him. Manning has a 3-5 record, 54.8 quarterback rating, five touchdown passes and 14 interceptions in eight career meetings with Minnesota. Manning said he didn’t know the stats, but when asked if a defense can have a quarterback’s number, or if he can have an NFL defense’s number, Manning went into one of the longest, driest, funnier answers you’ll hear from the even-keeled QB: “I don’t think anybody, eh, I don’t think anybody has my phone number on the Vikings,” Manning deadpanned, looking at the floor to avoid eye-contact with laughing reporters, determined to drag out the joke. “Maybe (former Giant) Linval (Joseph), I’m not sure. I’m trying to think if I have anybody’s number. Maybe somebody I’m sure. I have (Vikings quarterback Sam) Bradford. I have his number. He’s got my number. Can’t think of anybody else’s off-hand, though. I’ll look through my phone and get back to you.”
