BleedinBlue
Now that the initial free agency signing period is over - the draft is over - and the after draft UDFA's signings and the tryout is done and in the books.........now, nothing of interest for a couple of weeks. The long dry period of no titillating news to quench a poor football fan's thirst. Hate this time of the year. Have to settle for stories like, "Cruz is running - says he's about 75% up to speed"....and "Eli's wife goes shopping"...."look what Tom Brady is doing".....and "remember when (insert old story herethat has been told a hundred times)". Well...OTA's start May 27 in 2 weeks, and then mini-camp on June 16-18 Oh well...time to follow baseball and/or the hockey playoffs..........snoooooze
gmenroc
Yeah, not to mention VG is sleeping at the helm of the HWOTE tournament.
Allstarjim
I'm really enjoying the hockey playoffs. Haven't watched much hockey in my entire life but it is a great game. Watched the Lightning close out the Canadiens last night and it was great. Hoping for a Rangers / Lightning Conference Finals.
Mr. P
This is a great time of year. Beginning of summer, semester almost over. Bonfire time, lakehouse time, fishing time, adirondacks time.

Sephiroth
Don't worry about it, Bleedin. The Giants.com podcast will tell you (one in a booming voice, the other with a mic that is barely audible) that this is the BEST time of year for the Giants. Its the time when you scour another team's waiver wire to grab a starter at a position that Reese has neglected! I'm looking forward to seeing who we grab at TE! Herc
I'm at the point where any time other than football season sucks. I'm in a sweet fantasy baseball league that keeps my interest but I don't watch any of it on tv

Watched the Lightning close out the Canadiens last night and it was great. Hoping for a Rangers / Lightning Conference Finals. I'm at the opposite end... I'm extremely busy with work.. family (new child on the way), the war in Yemen... I'm so consumed I have no idea where the NBA playoffs stand... I know the rangers won 3 in a row to move on to the next round but is that the finals.. not a clue.

There are definitely things more important than sports. The Rangers play the Lightning now, and the winner of this series advances to the Stanley Cup Finals. Agreed... it's just that I'm used to "being in the conversation"... having an opinion on sports or what have you... suddenly it just feels like I've been (still is) on a deserted island... but it's true.. what I'm consumed with is far more important... seeing my hometown under siege... and reading the news and being able to remember every single street or neighborhood or landmark being talked about is really something... Under slightly different circumstances I would have been there fighting... but the fact I have a family and a pregnant wife and the fact that I've been away from there for close to 25 years makes it all much more difficult. fringe
My beloved Warriors have advanced to the Western Finals , a place where they haven't been since 1976. I disowned the Sharks last year so don't have to deal with that stress- and the GIants are doing ok without Pence who comes back today. Pretty good times.
