This, or WR's that aren't half assing routes. The oline can only hold blocks for so long and that's any offensive line in the NFL. Watch Dallas Thursday night again

Yeah, I don't believe the offensive line was as bad as Eli and company made it seem. In this style offense, the ball should be leaving Eli's hands as soon as he hits the final step of his drop and sets his feet. That's not happening, though.

If this was a one-game thing I'd say you guys were right. Its not. This team has not scored points in the second half of games for the entire season, 3 game win streak notwithstanding.

At halftime my fiancee was commenting about how good they looked. I replied to her to not worry, we wouldn't score more than 6 points in the second half.

Injuries are an issue, yes. But when you're beaten in the second half of games week in and week out, it means the other team is making halftime adjustments and your team is not... and that's bad coaching. If injuries are the big issue we wouldn't be hanging 21 on two teams for two weeks in a row in the first half of games.

This guy is pretty bad.

We were up on San Francisco fairly big, too, in the first half. The Giants certainly can't put together an entire 4 quarters of football without imploding. That's on Coughlin and company.

But he also can't stop the fundamental flaws and mental errors of this team. Like failing to jump on a fumble in the end zone and instead, actually TRYING TO PICK IT UP AND RUN WITH IT. Like, are you kidding me? I learned to hop on fumbles in 1st grade flag football. How can you do that to your football team?

And how many times do we have to see Larry Donnell targeted on 3rd and long in the flat with his back to the defenders and at least 2 or 3 of them converging on him before we realize that it's simply a dangerous play in which nothing good can really come of it? He's not going to get the first down. And now he's fumbled twice on the same exact play. Once against Dallas (round 1) and once against Jacksonville. His Houston fumble was similar to, where he got moving laterally and got his legs chopped out from under him. Donnell is clearly better suited for exploiting the seam, not the sidelines. Get the man the ball in a manner that allows him to square up and take those hits a little better.

Yes and now unfortunately the Giants are starting 2-6 and continuing to dive.

The play-calling has definitely been a big issue. When the D starts bringing all out pressure the O collapses. No quick dumps or mis-direction plays to slow the D down. Eli also goes into full deer in headlights mode. He used to have ice in his veins but that time seems to be in the past.

and he fucking fumbles it too. he's basically jay cutler

Exactly... he is too used to the Cruz/Nicks... YAC quick slants or the 5-7 step drops down the field ... The Giants as an organization love those drop back Johnny Unitas style passers... but for the most part that style of passing is not something that is easily sustainable in today's NFL.

You didn't even watch the game today. The loss was solely on the offense. The defense gave up 10 points.

And the offense was doing better than fine until they had to shuffle the offensive line. And the Jags have a good front four too, there was no way the offense was going to do a damn thing after Brewer.... James fucking BREWER... saw the field. And when he went down? At that point the Giants may as well have just taken a knee every time the offense got the ball.

Well I believe the Giants spotted Gilbride about 7 seasons at offensive coordinator...

Honestly I don't know how horrible he is when you look at what he has to work with and that equation changes weekly.

Yeah. And I wish this team was getting the same results as most of the time Gilly was being "spotted."

This offense has pretty much the same problems it had last year: weak line, injuries at running back, no help at tight end, and only one WR playing with any effectiveness.

Not really fair to judge an OC on that. But good enough to get a guy retired.

And for all the Gilbride hate he did quite well with many O issues just like now.
