gmenroc
So this guy has 78 career receptions for 999 career yards and 6 career TDs. Of note, 8 catches-114 yards-2 TD came against us in 2012...in a single game. Guy has a 6 year career and puts up over 10% of his catches and yards against us in a single game. Hopefully he's not completely worthless.

JMFP
I remember two years ago he destroyed us in the opener. Tough to judge a receiver based on how badly they abuse Fewell's soft zones.....it's a veritable Who's Who of NFL players.

Tempest
Sounds a lot better than bringing back Mario Manningham, Trindon Holliday, or Ramses Barden.
Allstarjim
Ogletree, huh? I hope he doesn't see the field. We have enough in house. Randle is going to be the x-receiver and on the field for almost every offensive snap. Then it's likely Beckham on the other side... I would think he's your starter across from Randle going forward. Then in the slot, it should be Preston Parker. Parker has a lot of talent and he's flashed enough for us, and he's a guy who has a history of making big plays at other stops in his career. I think there will be some sets where it's Beckham in the slot as well... but between those 3 guys, they will get most of the action. I also expect at some point we will see Corey Washington get more of a chance, and he deserves it, too. And don't discount the fact that Ogletree might be here to use his knowledge of Dallas this week to our advantage, he knows the routes in that offense and can be an asset on the scout team. gmenroc
I doubt he was brought in for Cowboy knowledge...that was too long ago as far as I am concerned to be worth much. Ogletree wouldn't be here if.it.weren't for Cruz...that said, we'll see what we can get out of him...nice thing with coaches this year is that it seems the best players are playing
Sephiroth
I think Ogletree will start over Washington. I have a funny feeling Washington is this year's Ojomo.
UK-Giantsfan
The more i read about Ogletree.......the more it looks like a weak signing .......he has done virtually nothing in his career with the exception of 1 game against us ( lets hope i am proved wrong )

Nas
I'm afraid you guys are overthinking this.. we lost a WR and at this point there aren't any game-breakers sitting at home watching TV... we needed to fill a roster spot vacated by Cruz and that's that. Maybe I mislead with the thread title...didn't mean to suggest that Ogletree was anywhere near an even swap for Cruz talent-wise...simply that he was the roster replacement. We can get him back if he wants to come back and he's willing to play like a #1... He half-assed it last year and that said a lot about his work ethic.... it's amazing what being a slouch can do to your career. Had he played lights out last year, odds on we wouldn't have a horrific season and he would have signed a huge contract worthy of his skills. osi724dasack
Would it be stupid to offer a 4th round pick to Indy for Nicks? Reese would never do it, but I think that type of trade can reignite both Nicks and the Giants team.

Hakeem, much like JPP has the potential to set the league on fire... from afar he strikes as unmotivated... def his attitude or at least the perception of it doesn't help him.. however under the right circumstances, he can be a super start and I would love to have him back if he starts moving with a purpose...
