Nas
The Bucs announced that they have agreed to terms with former Green Bay Packers center Evan Dietrich-Smith. A person who has seen the contract tells NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport it is worth $14.25 million over four years. The Giants couldn't match this? Sephiroth
Ugh. Looks like we'll be drafting two O-linemen on the first two days.
gmenroc
Yeah, this one has me scratching my head too. 3.5 mil per...I'm not sure that would've been too bitter a pill to swallow. Perhaps they're gun-shy after giving Baas a big deal and watching him deal with injury after injury...and ultimately the Giants losing on the investment. gmenroc
I'm good with that. Yeah, it's shaping up for an offensive line, defensive line, and WR in the first 3-4 picks. Throw a TE in there somewhere maybe
Bigblue25
From what I've heard from Packers fans is EDS is overrated and wasn't great in pass protection. He ranked has the 8th best center in football by PFF. So I don't know, he definitely could of been worth a shot at that price. Brian De La Puente is still available. Gman329
All in all, I think we've done a pretty good job of stretching our resources and making some wise purchases. I can't sit here and kill them over one that got away.
Tempest
I never thought he was a target for the team. Giants are handing the job to JD Walton.
