njsmalls
Clutch HBP by A-rod. I wasn't watching but I'm putting money that Michael Kay said that. One thing A-Rod can do get "clutch" walks and hit-by-pitches.

gateb
One thing A-Rod can do get "clutch" walks and hit-by-pitches. Yeah, is that two of the last four or five games he's gotten a game leading walk or HBP?
njsmalls
If Sturtze is still pitching in the 8th...we need a nice fat cushion.

njsmalls
We are using up our bullpen...I wonder when one of our starters will pitch a complete game?
gateb
We are using up our bullpen...I wonder when one of our starters will pitch a complete game? In defense of the Yanks, not many pitchers are pitching CGs these days.
njsmalls
Ok, what the fuck? Now the bases are loaded for the Devil Rays. There are two outs...GET OUT OF THE JAM!
njsmalls
In defense of the Yanks, not many pitchers are pitching CGs these days. I don't think there will be very many games when the starter goes to the sixth. That's bad. I know there aren't many complete games. But the way our starters look...I don't think we'll se a CG the whole season.
njsmalls
A-Rod gets us out of the jam.
gateb
The CG is a fun part of baseball. And for some reason, those stats are declining. I guess the game is starting to turn more into a bullpen oriented type of pitching then anything else right now. It seems the Mets can't wait to get to their pen right now, no matter who is pitching and how well they are doing so.
gateb
A-Rod gets us out of the jam. I guess he saves both the opposing pitcher and his own pitcher from jams.
