BigPete
Our draft was ok, but it should have been alot better Our main issues this offseason were with our defensive back seven This is how I think we should have drafted: #32 Jimmy Williams FS Virginia Tech #56 Richard Marshall CB Fresno State #87 Maurice Stovall WR Notre Dame #96 Gerris Wilkinson LB Georgia Tech #124 Barry Cofield DT Northwestern #129 Guy Whimper OT East Carolina #158 Babatunde Oshinowo DT Fresno State #232 Stanley McClover DE Auburn
Money
I think it's pretty clear that the Giants and several other teams wanted no part of Jimmy Williams. That's a shame, because he's a fantastic football players. Also, I don't think Stovall is the type of WR they were looking for. They wanted speed, elusiveness, and RAC ability, which is why they had Sinorice rated so highly.

parlintm
i got this from bbi who got it from extremskins.... its about jimmy williams and explains why he was not on our board at all. doesnt sound like a TC guy at all. "I got this from a Cowboys board - posted by a 'reliable' Cowboys fan. Very funny and revealing if true. VT sure puts out the character guys. "I have a friend that works for the Redskins. He is not very high up in the organization, but he recounted a story that was circulating through Redskin Park about Jimmy Williams. The Redskins brought Jimmy in for a pre-draft interview. Apparently, those interviews last a few hours and they look at a little film with the player, allow him to speak with coaches, and tour the facility. Anyway, about 10 minutes into his interview with Gibbs and Greg Williams, Jimmy's cell phone rings. Instead of turing it off, Jimmy takes the call from a friend, gets up from the table and proceeds to talk loudly to his friend for a few minutes. After he hung up the phone, he began to text message someone. At that point, Greg Williams stood up and said that he would never allow Williams to play for him and Gibbs had Jimmy escorted out of the building." ----- explains why he dropped so far on draft day.
