Gman329
No freaking way Which part? That they move Kiwi back to DE or that he's an upgrade from Osi?
Nas
Which part? That they move Kiwi back to DE or that he's an upgrade from Osi? I do think Kiwi is an upgrade over pretty-boy and I think they move him back to DE as well.
TrashTalker92
If they Move Kiwi back to De.. we'll have to wait a year or so for him to adjust to the position again.. yes i know that's his natural spot... but slim down to play LB.. the speed is there. but the weight gain gonna need some time to get along with the rust... Treehugger
Kiwi wasn't very effective last year either; only 37 tackles in 16 games (84 tackles in 2011).
Gman329
TT92 - he looked very comfortable at DE when moved there from time to time last year - no rust that I saw. BB25 - this has been a running debate on this board and I guess we're on different sides. I just see Osi as one dimensional, one move, pass rushing DE. Speed rush to the outside over and over again, never a thought about playing the run. Teams used that tendancy against us. I admit his freakish reach gets him some strip sacks but as I called him in one of these debates last year, he's Dave Kingman - HR or K. I'll take Kiwi's consistency. Interestingly, no teams are looking for him to be a 3 down DE. The Falcons are talking to him about a pass rusher role.

What rust? It's not like he's getting off the couch. He'll do fine.
