Allstarjim
I've been saying this for awhile now. Cruz is a very good receiver. Nicks is a great receiver. We don't win the Super Bowl without either of them, though.
Herc
yeah definitely no superbowl without him. he had like 6 TDs of over 65 yards or something like that and that's just not repeatable. he's due for a huge regression
RandolphScott
I seem to remember Nicks getting the dropsies at times last season. But, your right. If it comes down to it, I'll take Nicks over Cruz.
BlueInCanada
Don't let Jackybo see this thread. He'll fucking implode.

He's had dropsies his whole career, but he's still the fucking man. I was pretty pissed how little Nicks was targeted Wednesday. Disappointing, to be sure. Disappointing, to be sure. He was probably cover like a number WR should be. But it should come down to the O-Line not giving Eli the time and the running game to open things up. Cruz probably will need to get with football speed and hang with Eli in the film room. Other teams probably find small things to Attack him mentally. You could see his eyes aren't on the ball. Treehugger
Nicks isn't up to full speed yet. He said so himself after the game.
Gman329
Their corners outplayed Nicks and Cruz and their DL outplayed our OL. Tough to win games that way.
Lughead
Cruz had drops sure, but Nicks was still one handing the ball which I was surprised that he didn't get stripped of a couple times.if Cruz had Zero drops would people be debating that nicks isn't in Cruz's league? Sephiroth
Nicks would be a top-5 guy and perennial Pro Bowler if he didn't miss 4 games every year with injuries. He's Andre Johnson light.
Mr. P
He's in his league, Nicks is just better.
fringe
Cru often runs without the ball. If he can fix that, he'd be in anyone's league.

Steitzenhaus
Cruz will be fine. Dallas was the better team Wednesday night there's no question about it but I think there was a bit of overconfidence on our side and I expect a nice rebound against Tampa. Herc
nicks has missed 6 games in 3 years. cruz dropped 11 passes last year, 5th in the NFL. nicks doesn't drop the ball as much as people think, it's just that when he does it turns into a missed TD or interception so it's a bit more glaring. JackStroud
I would not put Nicks or Cruz in Canton after Wednesday nights debacle One had the droppsies, the other ran around like an old man I would have sat both of them at halftime
osi724dasack
I fully agree. If I had to rate both players I'd rank Nicks as the 4th best NFL WR, and I'd rank Cruz somewhere between 9 and 20.
Nas
hopefully people will stop acting like he is after last night Cruz def shit the bed... but you know what... hopefully he got it out of his system and is going to focus going forward. I'm not as concerned with our WRs as I am with our OL. It was tough to watch.
JayD
Agreed. Every WR has a bad game now and again. But he has had alot more good games then he's had bad ones. He can be as good as any WR in the league. It was one bad game, im sure it wont be a problem going forward.

How many times was he thrown to compared to other WR's? We didnt have a run game last year. Eli and our WR's carried the team through the regular season. Cruz was a huge part of that. JMFP
All of our receivers played like complete pussies in Week 1. That, and the fact that Reese fucked the dog on the Baas signing.....our O-Line sucks dick.
osi724dasack
Nicks had a good effort all things considered week 1. Cruz shat the bed. The Baas signing certainly seems weak now. Maybe things change but that's cap $ that we need especially in the upcoming years.
