Nas
Completely agree on Kenny Phillips. I don't get all the love he gets. And hey, Deon Grant was pretty damn good last year, I dunno what happened to him this year, though. He's a year older... I'm not mad at Grant.. and I don't think KP either sucks or a superstar... he's a middle of the pack safety. Back to Fewel.. let's not pretend he has this great system and it's on a matter of players "buying" into it... i think the guy is lost out there.. a one trick pony at best. Nas
So, in one breath you're saying there is talent on the defense and Fewell isn't getting enough out of that unit, and in the next you are speaking negatively about 50% of the secondary and the linebacking core? The dog thinks the issue is that people continue to overestimate the talent here, and the fact is the coaches get heat when they actually just might be doing more with less over the last few years... Yes... even with a medicore LB corp and ONE injured CB (TT) out of the season, this D is vastly underperforming. There's no overestimation of talent... JPP, Osi, Tuck, Canty (overpaid), Boley.. Webster, Rolle, KP are all very very good players.
Nas
30th ranked in D .........we are supposed to be the feared almighty New York Football Giants .......our Defensive Secondary is a fucking disgrace. If Wellington Mara were alive today Perry would be gone the moment that the season ended ...... So that is a No ! THIS ^
JMFP
To be fair, some of Ross' abuse was due to Webster locking down Dez Bryant all game (except for his one reception which I believe was more busted zone coverage). True....Bryant's TD was a result of the brainlock between Rolle and Webster. But Ross almost was the goat of the game, if not for Romo's bad pass, Austin would have taken it to the house. And on the last drive by Dallas, every pass completion was with Ross defending. This was definitely a bad game by Ross (whom I usually defend). fringe
Speed and agility absolutely kills this team. I heard Greg Cosell on the radio this morning (very smart guy) and he said teams that are able to make plays from unstructured situations (pocket breakdowns, etc.) absolutely kill defenses like the Giants. So true, I don't know who to blame for that but Fewell must bare the brunt.
osi724dasack
Plus We rely on 6th round rookie LB who came from nowhere at UsF a is an extremely raw player to cover each teams elite TE. One of the positives this year is that Jaqain Williams is getting extremely valuable reps and snaps in big spots of our games. That defintately isn't the beat situation for Us this season, but it does lightyears in speeding up his development to the point where he could progress to be a good starting LB next season. The kid is just so raw still, but this is definately good for the future.
ksm7
Last math class I took, 50 percent is not equal to 100, so me saying "some talent" is not contradicting myself. As for our linebackers, I think boley and kiwi are talented, but kiwi is a de covering at linebacker, and after those 2 there's a big dropoff. and I think it's pretty obviuos we have good players on the de line. Not really sure why you're disputing me on this? The dog isn't trying to dispute you, just saying, when you describe the linebackers and half the starting secondary as weak, not to many d-coordinators are going to be overly successful. That leaves the d-line. Tuck has been injured all year, Osi is oft injured and really is more of a pass rushing specialist overall anyway, and while JPP is a natural talent that is flat out nasty, he still has a lot to learn...emphasized by the fact that apparently (the dog didn't get to see all of the game) Dallas focused much of their run attack at him, and the results were pretty positive in dallas' favor. This gets lost in the shuffle because of the huge plays he made (ie the safety, forced fumble and blocked fg) . The dog is just making a possible point, and that is, it is easy to judge the coaching hut the talent level and inexperience may just be impacting his ability to call defenses he may want to call... Steitzenhaus
577,449,444. Thats 1470 total yards between New Orleans, Green Bay, and Dallas. Im not crazy about Fewell but players are supposed to make plays. Injuries have killed them all year but I think that further illustrates the point that the personnel stinks right now. They have guys to build around (Tuck,JPP,Boley,Kiwanuka(de), Webster and hopefully Prince.), but there are some serious issues.
TaylorBanksCarsonVanPelt
And this guy is such a god damn dope, Osi, I don't know how you enjoy having this guy on the team, being slightly better than the debacle during the Sheridan years just doesn't cut it for me: I'm pretty sure everyone in the world noticed him messing that shit up. But, bear with me here, if it isn't his fault, and it's obviously not Deon Grant's fault since he's on the other side of the field....following logic, it must be Webster's fault. So he's blaming his mess up on Webster because he's angry he got blamed for the mix up. Instead of keeping his mouth shut and just working to get better, he has to run his mouth off at fucking commentators. Give me a fucking break, Rolle. It goes back to: stop making mistakes, play the game, and keep your damn mouth shut. If you absolutely HAVE to run your mouth, do so after you play well. Screw Rolle...how about that babe in this photo... half way down to the right. JESUS H CHRIST. http://bleacherreport.com/tb/bcAB0 But truthfully speaking ....Rolles facial features ....well having worked with cognitively delayed individuals for a good portion of my professional life...he looks Borderline or high functioning Mild Mental Retardation. What was his major in college...Street Bravado...probably failed that too. MOst Cover 2's I have seen ....the safety is supposed to help over the top. Rolle got caught peeking and got caught out...plain and simple. Again not trusting the zone and sticking to his own responsibilities. I believe the guy is a loud mouth wreck and instead of sitting down Boley and Bradshaw ...I would sit his ass down.

JackStroud
I noticed he did what EVERY fan here wanted him to do Sunday night an that's blitz Ok he dialed the blitz and played man coverage. Ross was burned on every single play and almost cost us the game. Maybe we have been over rating our D Here's a grade player by player on D. I'm only including main players and itll be 1-10 *means raw or rookie Tuck 5.0 ( still draws doubles so he gets a 5) JPP 9.0 Osi 4.0 Tolly 4.0 Canty 6.0 Joseph 6.2 Rocky 3.0 Boley 8.1 Kiwi 7.7 Jaquain 4.2 Jones 1.5 Ross 4.2 (only because hes flashed NFL ability this year) Webster 8.5 Prince incomplete Madddd injurys Tryon was like a 6.0 for the two weeks, it's a shame he looked like that guy that was gonna help save the day as a legit young vet min signing who flashed big game in big spots in years past Rolle 8.2 Phillips 8.2 Grant 4.0 Goff T2 Austin guy would have been JPP like out there And not too mention Tuck and Osi who have both been totally different players this year eseciallybTuck. So after a fair evaluation I think it's safe to sat injuries have fucked this defense in the ass real hard and rough. Question is, does Fewell deserve a pass? Btw this is the time of year where all the guys are banged up And hurting plus most of the guys like Rolle, JPP, Webster, Ross, Have all seen extra snaps all season long due to dogmatic trash for depth. Fewell got a pass last year.........no two season passes......he has to go

One of my too enmeshed with client issues staff members started losing it because she had not seen a particular client in days. Well dearie your clients (my clients as the program director) are all MICA (Mentally Ill Chemical Abusers) so she is out prostituting, running, dealing and/or steering customers to various drug dealers. Lo and behold the client shows up 5 minutes later. However my soiree of enjoying the thoughts of Triple D...Defilement/Degradation/Debasement was interrupted.
