Mr. P
The New York Giants worked out former Raiders running back Justin Fargas on Tuesday according to Pro Football Talk and NFL Network. Fargas was with the Broncos during training camp. He played seven seasons for the Raiders and enjoyed his best year in 2007 when he gained 1,009 yards. Ahmad Bradshaw missed practice time last week with an ankle injury but played on Sunday in Houston. Head coach Tom Coughlin said on Monday that Bradshaw was "sore." Brandon Jacobs is behind Bradshaw and D.J. Ware is the third-string running back. Ware has had just two carries this season. The Giants have more of a need at fullback with Madison Hedgecock dealing with a hamstring injury although Hedgecock could be back this week. With Hedgecock out, the Giants used tight end Bear Pascoe and Jacobs at fullback against the Texans. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/giants/post/_/id/2016/giants-workout-fargas

gmenroc
Not a bad idea to try him out. If he's healthy, it's nice depth.
Sephiroth
I remember he was a pretty decent back a few years ago. If you can't make the Raiders, though... hmm...

Treehugger
Even Randy Moss looked like shit on the Raiders. It's not much of a barometer.
BlueInCanada
I remember he was a pretty decent back a few years ago. If you can't make the Raiders, though... hmm... I'd agree but they already have Bush and McFadden, more then likely was a causality of roster space.
fringe
Raiders are 7th in rushing. That's quite an accomplishment for a 2 win team. I think the Canadian is accurate. Huggy's a tough little guy with good hands who's not afraid to stick his nose in to block.

gmenroc
It's not like we'd bring him in ahead of Jacobs or Bradshaw on the depth chart. If you're comparing him to Ware, and Fargas is healthy, I may have to lean towards Fargas for no reason other than experience. Ware is okay at 3rd RB, but I don't know that I see a whole lot more for him there than that.
