The 2009 NFL Draft Day Thread

All this buildup and kind of anti-climactic. Nicks is a good pick. I hope he picks up on our plays quickly because we need a playmaker this season, not a year or two down the road. But....that's the situation with any rookie. Hopefully, this kid does the big blue well.

Welcome aboard Hakeem!

Yea and something tells me the Giants ain't done with either Boldin or Edwards.

Sintim would be a great pick if he played MIKE instead of WILL. I bet we grab Wiliam Beatty OT from UConn. Good run blocker.

Well I say grab him for a replacement for Pierce in acouple years or see what he can do at OLB plus an emergency back up if Boley/Clark suck it up this year.

So what do we do with the other second?

Safety? OT depth? WR for depth? RB?

I am with you on the OT depth

If we stand pat with all 10 picks we should look a PK late.

Patrick McAfee, West Virginia

He is a combination kicker and punter. McAfee has decent size and has been pretty reliable on field goals. His leg strength is just OK.

or a Punter

Jake Richardson, Miami (Ohio)

A tall punter with a strong leg, Richardson was productive in the Mid-American Conference. He shows good hang time and has been good at getting punts inside the 20. He knows what it is like to punt in bad weather.

Maybe not Braylon, but late picks for Boldin is not out of the question.

We could give them a 3rd, 4th and both 5ths or something along those lines. We would have to use basically both our 5ths though along with our thrid. Maybe our 3rd, both 5ths and a 7th or something.

Still unlikely though.

other 2nd and a 3rd should get him.

what else do we REALLY need?

2 hoss WRs would do nicely.

or a 2 + 4 if they'd take it.
