GorillaNJ
LAKELAND, Fla. -- Starting the season on the disabled list was inevitable for second baseman Kazuo Matsui, but the Astros made the transaction official when they put him on the 15-day DL on Tuesday. The move is retroactive to March 21 and he'll be eligible to be activated on April 5. Matsui had surgery in Houston on March 17 to repair an anal fissure and was given an estimated recovery time of two to three weeks. He returned to Kissimmee, Fla., on Sunday and will be with the Astros through the club's remaining days of in Florida. The Astros made two other roster moves in the last 24 hours. Following their game on Monday in Jupiter, they reassigned catcher Josh Johnson to Minor League camp, and prior to leaving for Lakeland for Tuesday night's game with the Tigers, they optioned right-hander Ryan Houston to Triple-A Round Rock. The Astros have 34 players remaining in big league camp Im not sure how playing baseball causes anal fissures, but I bet it has something to do with some guy's bat. :yikes:
Allstarjim
Hmmm, remember that haircut he had when he first came over, it was like blondish orange highlights or dye job? I immediately thought GAY! Kaz, an ANAL FISSURE? Yikes.
