Exit 117
I guess you arent aware the Alex is career 310 hitter in the post season. It doesn't matter how good he hits in the postseason if he doesn't come through in specific clutch situations.

gateb
that doesnt make any sense How doesn't it? A-Rod gets those bases empty hits with two outs in the playoffs in the first inning. Is that considered clutch? First and second, two outs, tie ball game, bottom seven. He gets a hit. Now that is considered clutch and unfortunately for you guys, a rare sight in the post-season. Really? I dont care what anyone says, batting 375 in a division series is "clutch" no matter when and where he got his hits.... that was with Seattle. I guess you didnt see the 2004 ALDS where A-Rod single handley beat the Twins. And games 1-4 in the 2004 ALCS where he was incredible. Was he "unclutch" then? Here a break down of A-Rods over-hyped lack of "clutch" compared to David Ortiz "clutch", even though Big Crapi was more likely to hit a home run when Boston was trailing, A-Rod was more likely to homer when the game was scoreless or tied. Since Boston's record when trailing after seven was 6-53 (the Yankees posted a major league best 13-58 record when trailing after seven), it's hard to argue that they derived a significantly great benefit from their DH's late-inning heroics. The team that gets ahead first wins most of the time, and Rodriguez was best at doing that less dramatic, but essential work.
