BIGBLUE01
Texans- Reggie Bush Saints- AJ Hawk Titans- D'Brickashaw Fergusen? Vince Young? Matt Leinert? Jets- Matt Leinert? Vince Young =-o I would think the Titans would go after a QB, since McNair is on his way out. The one year deal he signed sounds like he's ready to teach someone to take his spot. My guess, V. Young to the Titans, Leinart to the Jets. Is it just me, or does anyone else think Leinart will be a flop?
HOUND
I agree that the Titans likely draft a QB. Everything I heard said that they were really high on Vince Young. However Norm Chow, their OC was Leinart's Coordinator at USC and may petition Titans brass to take him. Regardless, I see Tennesee going QB. I think the Saints would draft D'Brick over Hawk, although AJ would fill a need for them. Courtney Watson has been a horrible disappointment so far. gateb
Saints most likely will take Mario Williams with that second pick. I think the top two teams in the draft should trade down.
Pizan
Clayton said this morning if the Saints were to sign Brees they would look to trade down. Obviously that would be the best option but they might not find a suitor. Clayton mentioned the possiblility of drafting Mario because he is the best defensive option. The Saints have Will Smith and Charles Grant they dont need Mario, I think here is were BPA shouldnt factor in but it might. The BPA on their list could still be Matt Lienart or D'Brick, I dont think its Mario. I actually think Hawk and Ngata might be higher on their list then Mario. Im not trying to say Mario isnt deserving of the pick but being this high BPA doesnt factor in as much because you are going to get a great prospect. I think it should come down to D'Brick, Hawk, or Lienart.

Pizan
Saints | More about Brees' contract Tue, 14 Mar 2006 17:51:52 -0800 ESPN.com's John Clayton reports New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees' six-year, $60 million contract actually included a signing bonus of $8 million and a $2 million base salary for 2006. The contract includes a $12 million option bonus due next spring and a base salary of $3 million for 2007.
HOUND
Saints did a good job on that contract. If Brees shoulder isn't right they can cut him to avoid paying that 12 mil bonus. The way this contract is written, you really can't rule out New Orleans drafting a QB. I think it would be a mistake but then again, the Saints seem to major in Mistake 101. I've heard Clayton yapping about Mario Williams but I just don't see it. The one spot on the entire roster where the Saints are in good position is Defensive End. Will Smith is a future Pro-Bowler. Charles Grant is coming off a disappointing season but he did play hurt with a bum ankle through most of it. FWIW, John Clayton has been wrong a LOT lately. I can understand the desire to draft defense but that team needs Hawk more than it needs Williams. As crazy as it sounds, I could even see the Saints going RB. They really haven't gotten the return on the money invested in Deuce. Still, if I'm in their shoes and he;s on the baord, i don't know how they can skip D'Brick. torn084
congrats to brees to making an excellent contract. 10 million up front and he mite not even play. that is good negotiating. the dolphins arent idiots who would bank on that. so culpepper is our man
