mws44
Maybe he needs a half run lead to get the adrenaline pumping. How dare you bring him in with more than a 3/4 run lead. :brooding:

Dragon
How often to you see guys like Wagner and Hoffman blowing saves on the same night?
xxi-xxv
How often to you see guys like Wagner and Hoffman blowing saves on the same night? Can't say with Hoffman, but I know that when the stakes are high, the tension is higher and the game is of the utmost importance, Wagner seems to like to blow them. Give Billy a 3 run lead in May vs the Marlins though and he is money.

xxi-xxv
putrid loss, thanks Billy. Define irony, Mets lose game 7 at home of NLCS because the manager has no confidence in the closer when he should be in the game and that guy who lost it, loses a putrid game at home. Awful, just fucking awful
gateb
this sucks. when i finally get to enjoy an offense the bullpen blows to equalize that.
RandolphScott
I couldn't really care they lost today cause I met this really cool girl at Shea who works in the Diamond Club. She was introduced to me by my father's friend who I'm teaching how to play golf. We talked for about 10 minutes and we seem to have similar interests. We'll see how it goes, she did say to the guy that I was nice.

Herc
i honestly thought you guys had it won. when hoffman went 53 for 54 in 98 the one blown save was a big homerun to alou, im pretty sure he's gotten to hoffman a few other times too. anyway that's two really good series in a row, i think we got one more before the season ends which im sure will be no different. i'd love to see 7 games like this in the nlcs. as for wagner, i mean he's a good closer, but i honestly thought omar should've went after hoffman when it looked like he wasn't going to resign. he was way cheaper and you only had to give him 2 years
