LorfTVP
Jim Rice should've made it...but yah, there are no big names coming on the HoF ballot, other than Tim Raines, until Rickey Henderson is eligible, barring another comeback, since comebacks have been popular of late (Palmeiro, Sosa, Karim Garcia, Jim Parque)...so Gossage and Rice have a chance over the next couple of years. LorfTVP
I want to say something like 17? Close, 15...but then if the player isn't elected after 15 years the Veteran's Committee has the right to vote him in but I'm not entirely sure how that works. fringe
After how many years does your name get taken off the writers ballot? yes its 15 as long as you get over 25% on your first ballot, i believe.
LorfTVP
yes its 15 as long as you get over 25% on your first ballot, i believe. You only need 5% to stay on the ballot. 25% is incredibly high.
