I love the idea of a sky judge... if it takes away from challenges and takes away from the on field officials from reviewing things on a screen.

I am really not sure how I feel about this.... yes it would fix the play against the Saints... BUT how many plays will it fuck up, the whole concept of letting them play kind of goes out the window. What is really needed is a video official who has direct communication with the officials on the field. The guys on the field can quick ask him to confirm their call, or guy in the booth can ping the guys when they see something missed.

As commanding a performance he put in last year at 30 years old I think securing him for 5 years is perfect, I was afraid they were looking at a 7 year deal where is is a shadow of him self at the end.

I gotta say I agree with this guy.... but to have a rookie or Rosen come in this season and be the guy to take the position either the end of this year or the start of next.

Sounds like it is another move to completely get rid of the kick off.... What if you want to onside kick early in the game, is that illegal? What if a kicker slips and kicks a 10 yarder into the mud?

I agree its not a great deal... but one player does not cause a team to be a success or failure for 10 years. Certainly not a Wide Receiver.

My guess is that they are bringing in SOMEONE this year to be the future QB.... I would not be upset to see Haskins or Rosen spending a year working with Eli

That is where my thought process has been going... since he was drafted he played exactly one full 16 game season. The Giants gave him that huge contract coming off of an injury and he ends up missing the last 1/3rd of the season for a thigh bruise.

Vernon has seemed to be a non-factor in most games, to the point that when he actually does make a plan I kind of perk and say.. was that Vernon? So getting a solid player at RG and clearing up cap space seems like a win. although our Defense seems to keep losing players

I think he never lived up to his potential... the size and the athleticism... never really translated into being a dominant player. He probably should have been a DE instead of an RB

I like watching defense... I think it was a much better game than that Eagles v Patriots superbowl last year.

I tried to watch some of the games this weekend.... but really could not get myself into it. I think it is tough to go from the great football played in the playoffs and Superbowl to take a drastic step down to dudes who could not make practice squads this year.

Looks like Eli to me... That was the Friday morning before the superbowl. I saw an article yesterday that his wife popped out a Son Sunday night... Imagine if the Giants were in the Superbowl and his wife was about to pop!
