  1. Taking 3 out of 4 from the Giants is a fantastic week, this is the Lindor I was expecting to see last season!
  2. Yes it was a good pair of wins versus a quality opponent. It is a good feeling that being down a couple runs is not a death sentence with this team. A couple of insurance runs late in that second game would be have been a nice touch without having Diaz to close. I am also not really sold on Diaz, but I do not think there is another option
  3. Tanking 2 out of 3 from the Phills feels good
  4. Diaz does not make it easy.... I would kill for him to come out and have a clean 1-2-3 inning. Feels like he is always going deep in counts, guys get on base or putting balls in play hard. Watching Famila pitch for the Phillies made me happy he is not a Met any longer. He also never makes things easy, a more patient Mets approach at the plate would have went a long way against him last night. But a shut out win is a shut out win, so lets see another tonight!
  5. Having Walker leave the game early and the bullpen blowing a game in the 8th inning makes me just think we are just cursed. Lets hope for a better game tonight.
  6. I miss the AL being bitchmade Why ruin the NL?
  7. Opening day!!! Have to hope the weather stays clear so they can get the game in tonight. It sucks that deGrom is fucking hurt again, I really wanted to see him take the mound tonight.
  8. It does seem like a win to me... help establish the offense as the team builds over the next couple seasons.
  9. It seems like the Pack did not get an awful lot for what could be the best WR in football. A first and second round pick this year... They must have known no way was Adams going to play for them under the franchise tag
  10. Im sure he could tolerate it for 36 seconds
  11. I like that Cohen seems willing to embrace being the richest muthafucker in the league and spending his cash... buy me a Tickertape parade!
  12. Plus DJ will have to learn a competent offense this season... He has not had to do that! Having Tyrod will be much better if Jones gets hurt, at least it is not like we are giving up
  13. I do not think the actual numbers have come out yet... but it does seem like the cap hit does go down and Rodgers gets a pile of money to land on. Back to back MVP seasons... now he needs to get some post season success
  14. Unless he gives a repeat of his rookie season...
  15. He has a better chance of doing it than someone you potentially draft with a 4th round pick. I also doubt he gets 1500 yards, the cynic in me sees him twisting a knee or getting his foot stepped on in training camp and never having a healthy snap. I am no cap scientist, but i do see your point that he is pricey.
  16. If only he stayed healthy, he is a legit elite level talent. I could not see trading away the potential of him having a 1500 yard season for a 4th round pick.
  17. Darius Butler was talking about this on the Pat Macafe show, one of the things he pointed out that makes it tough for ex-players to become coaches is the culture of coaching. The rookie and first couple year coaches make not a lot of money and work crazy amounts of hours, they are basically set up as bitch boys as they "earn their stripes" So if a guy like him plays for 9 seasons and he is competing for a job with a guy who has been coaching already for 9 seasons the player is at a disadvantage. Plus a player who has been making a fortune each season is really going to want to coach to take a substantial pay cut and have to put in the hours.
  18. If the Giants are picking in the teens you have to assume Jones has had a better season and the team ended up 8-9 which is doubling the number of wins. Shit one more win and the Giants could be a playoff team. I would sign up for that... and for keeping Jones on
  19. It does seem to be a pretty common theme with coaches coming out of New England, they try to bring the culture of the Belichick to their new teams, but without his winning resume it is not easy to keep a team and fan base on board https://www.bostonglobe.com/2022/01/12/sports/bill-belichick-coaching-tree-failures/#:~:text=The list%3A Romeo Crennel%2C Eric,in parts of 28 seasons.
  20. Yeah, watch him get handed this team in 2 seasons and they rekindle their dynasty.
  21. Well now they need to get him some edge rushers so he can bring in his attacking style of D
