  1. These fucking Mets... leaving guys on base ruining a pretty good night of pitching. Even though I only caught the last couple innings
  2. Max is having a tough start to the season.. even last night he did not give up any runs but was pitching behind in the count all night. His fastball has lost some speed and looks to have flattened out, his slider was just missing and the Padres did a great job laying off it. He is a great pitcher, and I think he will figure it out, but he needs to be able to give the team more than 5 innings of work. Its still early in the season, and I think he has that pitch clock on his brain for some reason. I was happy to see the bats were alive against Yu Darvish, hopefully the bats keep it going tonight
  3. Weather turned out to be pretty nice... but so is not watching them today
  4. Thankfully yesterday they made the call to move the game to Friday. Hopefully we can get back on the winning ways at home. At least the bats came to life yesterday
  5. That is the beauty of baseball... a couple bad games in April do not destroy your season. It would be really nice if they rain out the home opener tomorrow and play it in nice conditions on Friday after letting the team get a rest day. As of now, this Friday will be the first rest day for the team including trips to Florida and Milwaukee
  6. Well two games against the Brewers and I need some drinks... It looked like batting practice last night, well when the Brewers were at the plate at least
  7. Starting the season 3-1 and hanging up 5+ runs in three of those games against a good Marlins pitching staff is not the worst way to start the run to the World Series.
  8. Thanks on the heads up for the t-mobile! I have the SNY app on my phone but the MLB might come in handy at some point The pitch clock is going to be bit of a learning curve, I think this strike called on McNeil was bullshit I did not get to watch most of the game yesterday though, my son had a lacrosse game so I was just checking in along the time
  9. Should kick that player out of the league!
  10. Question is... is there first round talent out there for center? If you can land a dude to lead that line for the next 10 years I would sign up for that in a heartbeat, especially if the top WR's are off the board at 25
  11. It was a pretty good game last night... but I had 2 take aways. First one, the pace of play was quite a bit slower than the new pitch clock rules, so it will be interesting to see how the best players in baseball adjust to being hurried up. Second, Mike Trout is an Eagle fan cuck
  12. The WBC does seem to be quite popular... https://frontofficesports.com/world-baseball-classic-setting-records-for-viewership-attendance/ I have been watching some of the games, I just wish they did not start so fucking late most games. Thankfully the final will start at 7 tomorrow.
  13. Earlier last night my son asked if I saw what happened with Lindor.. I asked if he broke his leg. Turns out he hit an inside the park homerun... I put the jinx on Diaz
  14. now Edwin Diaz fucked up his leg celebrating a win against DR... I hope the fuck he is not out for the season.
  15. I really like this guy's player breakdowns
  16. How the fuck did the US get clapped by Mexico?
  17. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Justin-Shorter-WR-Florida hey Seph... this kid is from my town... coming out of highschool he was considered one of the top WRs in the country, after two years of not getting passes thrown to him at Penn State he transferred to Florida. Hook this kid up with either a 7th round or pick him up on the free agent market. 6'4" 230lb with a gigantic wingspan who is going to bring in any ball thrown near him
  18. If there is one thing we all know... if you are not bitching about something you are not happy
  19. I am not going to pretend to know much about how the cap works... but what I can say, a team can not consistently win without a quality QB. We just watched this team make a playoff run, with this QB and coaching staff... if we are all getting together for post parade beers together downtown within the next 4 years it will be well worth it.
  20. Any of you guys going to be tuning into these games? I assume I will watch some of the games and follow the highlights. I am a bit concerned with the Mets pitchers coming out there throwing full gas at this time of year, but will be glad for the established position players to get out there facing top competition, while letting the young up and coming players get more time on the field down in Florida.
  21. Especially if they hit Jones with the franchise tag this year... get some young skilled guy behind him in that QB room.
  22. I wonder what happens if the Giants sit back and let the league set the market on Jones... do you think there are teams out there ready to drop +$45m on him? What better situation is sitting out there for him to go to? He had a really good season, and I do really like him as a player I just cannot imagine there are a bunch of GMs sitting there with a hard on for him.
  23. The pitch clock was pretty good watching the spring training games... It did make the game move a bit faster and set a good pace. I do wonder though if it will shorten how long a pitcher will be able to go in a game. I also do not know how it will play out late in the season in high tension situations. I would much rather see the pitcher get a couple extra seconds to deliver a quality pitch or a batter get an extra couple seconds to be prepared to get a big hit.
