I like the Boomer and Carton show a lot. I listened to Carton when he was with the Jersey Guys on 101.5. I like his off center humor. Boomer is the perfect straight man to be paired with Carton, particularly because Boomer is obviously as knowlegable about football as anyone on the radio. The best commentator on the FAN is hands down Carl Banks.

Really at this stage of the game what does Westbrook need to practice anyway? He knows what plays kill us, and executes them everytime we play. I am sure it is just an extra day to rest up, and probably will lightly pracitce the rest of the week.

It comes down to running the ball, the Eagle D can get run on and the Gmen need to impose their will on them, like they did in the first Eagle game this year. What they cannot do is give up on the run and just try to pass 50 times.

Those 3 QB's were able to step up in big games and lead the team to victory. So far Romo, gets close and shits his pants, even with a team full of pro-bowl players.

And in reality they do, O-linemen hold basically on every play. But if a blatant hold is what opens up the running lane for a big play or prevents a sack it has to be called. The sidelines hit though is totally different, if the guy is going to catch the ball in the middle of the field you can flatten him to try preventing him from catching the ball, that should work on the sidelines too. Plus it takes a judgment call away from the refs, either the guy got both feet in with possession or he did not.

They came out and were comitted to the run, even against the 8 and even 9 man fronts. They came out in power running formations and were able to punish the defense. Madden mentioned it several times, TC told the team that they had to run the ball because they are a running team. I guess Gil listened. I still hope he is employed elsewhere next season.
