  1. Devalued maybe... until he hit .400 Another takeaway from the game last night... with Bryce Harper miked up playing center field... I do not hate the guy, i was shocked.
  2. I watched the first couple innings of the game. Baseball is the one all-star game that I actually find watchable. It looked very much like this season though, homeruns and strikeouts. Could you imagine what a Tony Gwynn type player could do today in baseball?
  3. I'll let Tree go first in that case.... tender her up a bit
  4. Like we all get to take turns... or not that fun?
  5. It is a 1:00 game, let me know what you find maybe I'll grab a couple tickets too... I've not been to a game in forever
  6. I will have my drinking gear ready for your arrival
  7. Other than Sonny Gray getting smoked by the Sox the other day... that might have sparked a bit of a flame under the ass of a team looking to win the world series.
  8. We keep paying the guy.... they should make him play! He can't be much worse that the shit that is being marched out on to the diamond
  9. You have feel bad for Janoris... first he is supporting his deadbeat brother by giving him a gorgeous house to live in, in a nice NJ suburb and he gets repaid with a fucking murder in his basement.
  10. Not too many murders in Fair Lawn.... Glad Jack Rabbit was in Florida and cant be tied to this shit
  11. They actually won a fucking game... in extra innings! They got so lucky though that Cabrera did not bunt into a triple play in the 10th. If you were not watching, no outs- men on first and second Cabrera comes up and squares to bunt first one is popped foul behind the plate and the catcher just missed it... it was actually in his glove and he dropped it. (Note last time he "bunted" he popped it to the pitcher) The first and third basemen walk in close to guard against the bunt, and instead of having him swing away he bunts again... pop out to the third baseman. If that 3rd baseman had thought he would have dropped it and had an easy triple play. Was glad to see Wilmer come up though and smack that double down the third base line
  12. And that is the forever curse of being a Mets fan... We know there will be nothing good to come from trading him because the front office blows. Realistically even now the Mets are 2 bats away from being a competitive team. Shit, one of those bats could even be Cespedes coming off the DL for his leg strain or what the fuck ever. But they have nothing to trade, unless maybe someone wants Tebow to bring in fans to the AA ballparks
  13. They are rough to watch... yesterday I was listening to the game on the radio and got home just in time to see them shit the bed on TV.
  14. There is such a thing as too much fighting I agree, like it he starts getting 15 yard penalties for doing it on the field... but it is the attitude I like to see in a rookie lineman. Come in and set a tone where you are going to play your ass off and take no shit
  15. Big dude getting into training camp fights... even with Snacks. That it the attitude you need to have out of your Guard to be busting open holes for our new all world RB https://www.bigblueview.com/2018/6/14/17464330/fight-damon-harrison-will-hernandez-throw-punches-as-ny-giants-mini-camp-ends http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2018/06/giants_rookie_will_hernandez_wont_back_down_from_a.html
  16. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2018/06/13/jay-bruces-butt-and-pride-hurt/amp/ Upper butt....
  17. If the Mets give up a run, they lose. On the radio this morning they quoted an interesting Stat, in the last 21 games the mets starting pitching ERA has been 2.02 and the team only won 6 of those games.
  18. I really like him. He is was such a value coming out of the Bullpen especially when you see the starters (aka Harvey) give you three-four inning starts and he could come in and give a great 3-4 innings. But after giving up just 2 hits to the yanks for 6 innings, stretching him out to a starter might not be a bad thing... especially with putting pitchers on the trade block The Yanks are 68-47 against the Mets in interleague. Not saying they do not normally have good games against eachother, but the Mets have come up short. On one hand the Mets v Yanks rivalry is fun, but in the spirit of competitive fairness I think they should do it more like football where your division plays one series against all the teams in another division... Like this year NL East plays AL East, and then next year the NL East plays AL Central.
  19. I watched almost none of the Mets v Yankees this weekend just because of how busy I had been and then the fucking Sunday game was on ESPN at 8pm. I was happy to hear that the Mets got one win out of it all and the pitching held up for the most part against that Yankee lineup
  20. I am not a huge fan of interleague play... When it first came out it grabbed some extra attention and was fun, but now it is just boring. It is also unfair how it is done, the Mets end up playing the Yankees every year, so they have two harder series then the rest of the NL east. But the DH is fucking lame, pitchers are baseball players and they should hit just like everyone else. I understand that position players spend a ton of time focusing on hitting, no reason a pitcher can't do the same.
  21. How can you not like everything you read about this kid... I bet Nas creamed his jeans half way through the article
  22. Shut out by the Orioles today.... for fucks sake
  23. Another game.... where they go down by 2 and it is over. I watched a couple innings as I flipped stations around. The first two weeks of the season really had me thinking that I would be watching enjoyable baseball through the summer. Maybe with Yoanus coming back soon we can get a boost
  24. Yeah he gave up 4 runs in the second inning against the Padress the other day. Pitched 5 innings
  25. Harvey is 1 win and 2 losses in 5 game starts with an ERA of 4.44 for the Reds.... Only one of those starts did he pitch 6 innings. So basically the same shit he was doing with the Mets, maybe a little less horrible
