Jim, thanks for the write up. I hope you're right about kiwi able to handle DE work like his early years. We made him transform his body to become a LB which means loosing weight in exchange for speed. If I recall, He was pissed about the move but did it anyways.

If that's the case. Let's hope our young DT pans out. So we can rotate tuck back out to DE when Osi is gone. I see us drafting another DE in this draft.

it's not the matter of us keeping him, it's more of him showing up. Osi is one of the games top DE. He could seek mega bucks else where and he knows this... we need him and you can't say we don't..

OSI, has been seeking a extension for the longest and we all know what's been going on.. Most of you guys might not want the guy back, but if you recall last season right after he came back our defense went ape shit. i really hope Reese can do some magic and convince Osi to sign something lower or whatever type of deals we could give him. But seeing as to what Mario williams got, i don't think Osi is coming back..

Two things come to mind regarding this rivers trade.

One. If this guy is good. How the F bongals only got a 5th rounder for him? Aren't there other teams in need of a good LB? We are looking for a GOOD LB right? Not a sub or insurance right?

Second. Could be the fact that rivers knew he won't be making jack from sitting on the side. These contracts has a lot of BS with the amount of hits, sacks to make up for the total amount. Could he be looking for a winning team like the Giants and wants to come here knowing we got weak LB group so he could start?

Bongals could be nice and let him go. Besides a 5th founder is cheap and worth to gamble on some kid with lots of upside.

I really hope this pans out and let last years rookies learn and improve. Rookies always performs well during their first year until coaches get scouting reports on them and figure ways to out match them. That's why there's a term call "second year slumb".

Teams have the whole off season to be prepare for Cruz now. Remember the superbowl where Bilacheat was saying focus on nicks and Cruz and let our 3rd WR beat them.
