  1. We've gone over this before. It's nice to have a top 10 draft pick. But does it mean that much? If we won a few more games and the Seahawks lost a few more in 1999, then they would have Ron Dayne and we would have Shaun Alexander. We're in the playoffs man! Enjoy it! But you make a point with the Coughlin thing
  2. Every team in our division gets the lions. Amani comes back next year.
  3. If it were that easy that taking yoga would ensure health in accidents like Strahan had, then everyone would do it. It's just not that simple.
  4. Nah, his foot was really stuck into the ground. I think anyone could've gotten hurt there.
  5. Strahan lost a lot of weight coming into camp this year.
  6. No I was saying until the score became 17-0 we rarely passed on first down. And I never said it decided the game, but they knew we were running on first down. It was so damn obvious.
  7. It works both ways. No one is helping Eli out and Eli is too erratic when someone gets open. One common theme I notice when I watch young QBs such as Rivers and Romo is that his guys get open. Like with Rivers GW TD pass to Jackson, he was wide open. Have Giants WRs ever been wide open before? I remember Toomer getting open a lot and Shockey sometimes, but with this current support cast no one gets open. Plax makes sensational catches, yeah, but he rarely breaks away from defenders on his routes. We need a guy who can do that.
  8. Maybe he doesn't stay in Vegas as long as Plax and Shockey do, and Amani comes back for a month to work with Eli. In training camp this year he was in amazing shape and Amani said he had a new workout regime in Vegas.
  9. I think your looking at the whole game. I'm talking about when we were still in it. When it was 10-0, not 17-0 or w/e it became. Running on first down did no good for us. That's my point.
  10. Vegas. Yet people never talk about him going there. I'm sure he did his share of partying like Shockey and Plax did.
  11. Yeah, you like that no call on the bomb that Eli threw Sinorice earlier in the game? He was getting raped.
  12. Redskins game. It was third and long, and he caught it at the Skins 11 or something. I don't know how he came down with it. He didn't have both feet down, and was forced out.
  13. xxi-xxv, Amani works out in Las Vegas. That Miami workout thing doesn't hold any weight. But it is amazing the difference with Eli since Amani went down. Amani's last catch of the year was a third down conversion against Houston, an amazing catch falling backwards to help seal the game with about 3 minutes to go. Typical Amani.
  14. Who would you rather send deep... the WR with better hands (Moss) or the WR with better acting skills (Carter).
  15. Pass the ball on first down. If we don't do that, we're gonna regret it. If you think I'm crazy, re-watch the tape of the Panthers game last year. I've kept this stat in my brain ever since the game. Only two times out of seven I think when we were still in the game we passed on first down. A 6 yard pass to Tiki and a 20 yard pass to Shockey. 2/2 for 26 yards. The only good stat of the game. Pass on first down. If we run and do great, great. If we run and fail, we're dead.
  16. And the sad thing is, he's probably gonna be the next Belichick for the Lions ya right
  17. You gotta get the run game going before we do that. We should pass a lot first. The mistake we made for the Panthers game last year was we always ran the first two downs and they were onto it. With 8 men in the box, come out throwing.
  18. Glavine, Perez, Maine. You heard it here first.
  19. The problem is when you do that stuff on the road the stupid false starts come.
  20. I would agree with you, but with our offense it's not a guaranteed success and with the way our defense has been playing, that plan could really backfire.
  21. Way too early to know. I'm waiting till spring training.
  22. I'm not sure why all of you think Fox is so great. His Panthers team severely underachieved this year. They may be more of a dissappointment then us.
  23. I can't say I'm upset with Gilbride. He called a decent game against a terrible defense. The biggest stat was that we were 8-10 in our first 10 third downs. Third down conversions are crucial. And we were doing terrible the last month in that stat. The thing that gets me upset is that our offense sucks with a lead in the 4th quarter. 0-4 in our last 3rd down conversions, and running a draw on 3rd and 10. We know our defense is going to give up some more points when we have a big lead, so why doesn't our offense keep doing what it's doing and not play it safe?
  24. He stays home because he needs extra rehab time. Strahan got hurt by being with the team against the Cowboys. I'm not faulting him for that one.
