Oh. The biography part kinda drags on a bit, but once it gets to the part where BB becomes DC of the g-men then it really gets interesting. All this book has done for me is make me want BB even more. He's unbelievable.

I'd like to know who our other choices are first.

Jacobs actually did very well considering every time he came in the defense knew he was running it. We used him very poorly, and he still did fine for us.

If we're smart, we'll manage to have Lynch and Jacobs together at least 50% of the plays. When you have two talented backs, you don't waste one on the bench. You use em both at the same time. I still don't get why we didn't do that with Jacobs and Tiki. Really pissed me off.

I think even if we draft an RB high Jacobs still goes into the season the starting back.

Coughlin already got the extension. He's coaching the Giants in 07 no matter what. I'm more interested in Pioli not to get rid of Coughlin, but because of his 3 super bowls in 5 years. In Belichick's book that I'm reading now, he talks about how great Pioli is at evaluating talent. That's what I'm more interested in.

He'd still be the starter but Lynch would be a great change of pace back and has the ability to catch out of the backfield. And as for pass blocking out of our RBs, I think our RB coach is doing something right. Jacobs looked like he did fine on blitz pick ups and Tiki was great at that the last couple of years. So I think we can get Lynch to pick up blitzes too.

I like Bob Ryan. I thought he did a really good job with the Raiders this past year. Maybe we can lure him out.

But if we don't address the LB and secondary problems in the off-season, then I'd rather go with defense. That's why I said earlier it all depends.

Kiwi would've had an impact anyway if all of them were healthy. Lewis implemented schemes that would've utilized Kiwi as an extra end or maybe even a part time LB in the zone blitz.

Can Parcells just leave the Giants alone? If he was the reason that Piolo originally said no the first time, I'll hate the guy even more.

Keep in mind his assistants were idiots and he's had bad injuries each season here. He has to change in that regard, he has to make sure the risk is lowered for all of these injuries. There is a risk to changing coaches and going to a guy that you really don't know what you are going to get from. I don't think Cameron is that good, and the only one on the market that I really like is Ron Rivera. And who knows where he may go. Whether you like it or not, it's time to live with this move.

A year could very well turn into 4 or 5 years if we hire the wrong guy again. Say we hired Cam Cameron and he was a complete bust for 3 years. Then what? Now your franchise is really in trouble. Of course, there can be rewards with hiring guys like Cameron but it just may not be worth it. At least with TC the players know what they are going to get and that creates stability. Whether you like it or not, I have to say it was the right move.

That's what they said about Kiwi. If Jacobs gets banged up and is out for a couple of games, we are screwed with Sims coming in full time. At least with Lynch or a potential FA signing we are in better shape. Hell, maybe we can draft Lynch and put em both in. The worst coaching decision of the year IMO was not utilizing Jacobs and Barber at the same time. I couldn't tell you how much that really got me upset. I think it was a big time waste of talent. Maybe we'll learn to do that with Lynch and Jacobs.

I love Lynch. It would be a great pick. But we do have other more important needs. It all depends on who is available, and what we did in FA.
