If we start to build our personnel in our front 7 through the draft, and acquire decent players in our secondary (Rod Hood, Nick Harper, etc.) then well be fine. There are a lot of teams in similar conditions as us in the secondary but blitz a lot more and have a lot more success. You'll see as the year goes on. Tim Lewis was a major culprit in our secondary sucking last year.

You know that they won't accept a 4th for McGahee. This is just the starting offers. And once other teams like the Texans jump in then we'd have to go up if we really wanted him. If Rees eis as agressive as he claims he will be, he would give up a first day pick and an okay player.

I would give them a 3rd and Reggie Torbor. Think about it. We may get a compensatory pick or two in the 4th round due to cuts of players like Luke, Lavar, Morton, and Tiki leaving (does that count for anything?). So with that extra pick, we can still manage to get a 3rd rounder.

Nem's right, Thomas is getting too old for those huge numbers hes asking for in his contract. If we have to overpay for someone, I'd do it for Clements. Its much harder to find talent in draft. Hopefully we sign Clements and Napoleon Harris and then draft an OLB.

The thread title basically says, "according to a rumor Strahan has been traded." And that is not the case, not even close. I got a heart attack reading this to because according to this thread title, one source says Strahan is gone. Just add a ? mark to it. Strahan trade talks... something like that.

This rumor is getting annoying because now it looks like it may partly be true. IF they take his full contract, and we trade Michael straight up for the #6 overall pick, then I wouldn't mind it. That's it though.
