The only thing more annoying then watching my team play average is watching fans say that they can make us a better team. Seriously, Reese knows what he's doing. I don't get you guys. Can't you recognize that the last two years, after signing several major FAs, we have gotten two first round playoff exits. What FA has done has gotten our team back into contention after two disastrous seasons. But if we want to do better then contention, we have to build this team through smart signings and through the draft.

I want to trade down unless a guy like Willis or Nelson is available.

Okoye is not falling to #20 and if he does we'd be crazy to pass up on him.

We don't need to sign anyone. A rotation of Pelfrey, Perez, Maine, Humber, and Kevin Mulvey will work fine

How about in the future though? When Valentin wears down and is no longer of use for us. Think Gotay can jump in? I never specified that he can start this year.

I'm not gonna be a hypocrite and say that FFFF is completely wrong here, because I do my share of smack talk against the Yankees too. I look at the scoreboard to see how they are doing a lot and I love it when they lose. But with the Mets finally turning it around I've started to care somewhat less about the Yanks. FFFF, you should stick with the GMB crowd. They are a lot more enjoyable to tease because of their stupidity level and annoying habits. So cal and co. are cool guys, no need to piss em off.

At least we got one game where Eli can do good. I hate Walker. Stupid plays on the field, made a few catches and has everyone in love with him. He sucks.

Unfortunately, we may have to unload either Gomez, Milledge, or Martinez. Can any of them play 2b or something?

Considering the Dolphins dont play in the wind that often, Mare's ability to kick in the wind has nothing to do with them wanting to unload him. It's more of the fact that he's washed up. Give Josh Huston a chance.

If Edge remains on our roster and plays like expected, he will be our #2 hitter. I went to a game this year where he hit #2. I like the way his name looks in the lineup inbetween Reyes and Beltran. I don't think Milledge will remain a Met though. I have a feeling our wants to acquire a great pitcher now and the fact that we have two OFs we love in our farm will eventually lead to Milledge packing his bags to Houston for Roy Oswalt.

in the games ive watched with Gotay I was pretty impressed with his swing, especially from the left side of the plate. Think he can start?

Wright at #2 is so tempting. But blue jeans is right, our back half of the lineup would take a serious blow without Wright back there. Can we please unload Green before he starts bringing this team down. Put Edge in the OF. And get a decent pitching prospect for Green.

It's been 4 years. We would know by now if Walker can start for us. It's obvious he can't. The only thing he can do is catch. There was a reason he wasn't starting in a porous secondary... its because he wasnt good. He had his chance against the Titans, and completely blew it towards the end. He got torched by whoever he was covering.

It all rides on Eli's shoulders. If we manage to get June and Hood on defense and get a solid LB in the 1st round, and Eli plays well like we thought he would when we drafted him, this is an 11-5 team. Unfortunately, Eli's play is not a given.
