He said that there was no way the turf could've allowed him to turn around and go to first. He said he was essentially stuck where he was and had to throw home.

Wagner was already warmed up, and if your closer is warmed up with a 4 run lead there's no reason for him not to be in there. Understandably, he struggles in those situations but if he's warmed up send him in. If you really don't have faith in him, then have a guy like Joe Smith warming up just in case while Wagner is in there.

With guys like him and Gomez and Milledge to back him up, this gives us room to trade a guy like Shawn Green if the price is right (starter, bullpen, second basemen, etc.). This is nothing against Shawn, but if we can get something nice in return for him we should pull the trigger.

The Braves are shopping their talented catcher. We'd have leverage on them because they need to trade him with McCann locked up. But maybe Milledge for him (he has a long name, anyone know it?).
