  1. Holy dumb fuck this season is pissing me off Get well soon endy :brooding:
  2. Yeah, but was he ever really that consistent with it? 2002 he was as good as he ever was in his career with the deep ball, i remember that much. I still have a vivid memory of the opening play of the first half against Indy in 02. What a throw that was.
  3. Yeah i saw that a few weeks ago on metsblog a day before the yankees series and was about to post it but after his 3 homers he looked like he was on his way back so it wasnt worth posting. keith has noticed the change in his swing but not the specifics. Glad someone has though. It's definitely that leg kick thats holding him back the most IMO. That extra split second he takes with the leg kick is making him under the ball, or get blown away by the fastball. It was also brought to my attention that David always hits his homers in bunches. 10 of his 26 homers last year were in june, this year 8 of his 8 homers were in may.
  4. Keep in mind Nem, how many deep patterns are you going to run with Danny Kanell/Kent Graham/Kerry Collins throwing to you. The ony good thing about Kanell's deep passes was getting the pass interference call on the defense. I don't remember much about our 00 team but we weren't exactly a deep pass team were we? I remember Toomer hauling in some long ones though.
  5. That throw by Victorino is one of the things im talking about. That was unebelivable
  6. Endy in the #2 slot is terrible, I love you endy but your best useful when your in the lineup in the 8th slot. Why can't Lo Duca be in the #2 hole until a guy like Green or Alou comes back? I actually like the idea of Moises batting 2nd. Seeing Wright's uppercut swing and missing pitches right down the middle makes me hurl everytime. Hit line drives dammit! And Delgado, just when it seems like you get going all you can do is hit high fly balls. We havent been getting any breaks lately either. A lot of warning track and foul balls that just miss hooking around the bag. Those first innings are killers too. Lets get going guys!
  7. Luke Petigout. Maybe Shaun O'Hara too. When looking for underrated guys, always look from the interior.
  8. No, it was used. I'm no expert on late 90s early 00s WRs, but Toomer and Calloway were the primary outside receivers that were sent deep, right?
  9. basketball players slap as a technique to force a turnover on defense. baseball players (actually, player), slap at the ball to make a 40 foot ground ball turn into a double. Oh yeah, I'm not exactly sure slapping is a legal technique in baseball either, but that's just a vibe. If you are seriously comparing A-Rod slapping the ball to basketball players slapping the ball, you have officially gone as low as you can go. Come on man.
  10. Dont even compare what Lowell did to arod slapping the ball. I'd rather someone be a little bit dirty then just flat out woman-like.
  11. I'll definitely tune in, who are going to be the main analysts of the draft A.K.A. Mel Kiper Jr.?
  12. Pops up and points first down in the direction he caught it. Very common in the NFL, but he does it as often as Perez does his hop over the foul line (everytime he got a first down) He probably still does it with Tampa.
  13. I remember growing up and loving the way Ike played. He didn't rack up the numbers but that first down celebration of his was what I emulated until fucking Dawkins laid down the dirtiest hit I've ever seen. The pain only got worse when Stackhouse fumbled away another oppurtunity to get a big score while fumbling into the end zone at the half yard line. That game was miserable
  14. I hope Cashman does something stupid to save his job, like trade Hughes for Willis. Man would that be a riot
  15. I can't believe you guys got Messenger for him. I was expecting just cash or something. Hopefully he doesn't return to the form he had in Florida a couple of years ago. Murdering him has been fun.
  16. Being in the national league hasnt hurt either.
  17. Yeah but at the same time we gotta keep him healthy.
  18. Fielding our A- boys tonight. Lets get em!
  19. Armando Benitez cures all hitting ills.
  20. Just got the letter yesterday. I don't usually park in the lot, I have my own secret area. I'll have to go to the games earlier to ensure a spot.

    BALK

Awesome ending! When Cohen began his call, it just felt like it was going to be a walk off homer. The ones I always heard on youtube and replayed on SNY and all that. "The 2-2 pitch..."
  22. I'd be willing to make that sacrifice.
