  1. It sounds too confident. If we lose Sunday, we are most likely done. At least add an iff somewhere...
  2. I left with 10 minutes to go in the third. It was my Dad's idea, but I couldn't dispute it. I was miserable. Freezing my ass off, cold feet and the Giants looked unbelievably bad. When I heard we were about to come back, I felt guilty as hell
  3. Good news is if we lose the next two and the Saints and Vikes win out there will be no doubt who won't be our coach next year... Buffalo is another big time test game.
  4. He had no prescence of time. At the Eagles 15 yard line with the game in hand, just go down. Don't hold the ball out like a loaf of bread. That second fumble was sheer poor ball protection. Not because he has a fumbling problem. That was really bad. And I can't believe Coughlin handed it off to him 3 more times afterwards. If Jacobs fumbled again, we're killing Tc.
  5. JJ is wearing out his welcome in Philly. There'll be a riot if he's the next head coach. We're in the same spot we were with Fassel and Fox in 2000. If we had the balls to let go of Fassel so we could protect Fox as our head coach we wouldnt have been buried in mediocrity for three years with an average coach. Hindsight is 20/20 and I'm being critical. But I guess you can compare the two situatiosn.
  6. Setting yourself up for more dissappointment. Eli isnt going to make Brady throws, get over it.
  7. That final play to Burress in the red zone wasnt like he was wide open anyway. No one's saying he isn't missing throws, that's whats keeping him from being a great QB. Just like any other QB. I don't really find much a difference between good and decent anyway...
  8. In bad weather on the road in December agianst a defense that held Tom Brady and the Pats to 24 points. After watching Eli play the last month, what did you expect today? 3 TDs and 280 yards? You're setting yourself up for dissappointment every time Eli plays. Just accept what he is. A decent QB who needs help around him to make him look like a better QB than he is.
  9. I get the vibe Eli isn't earning every dollar of that 54 million he signed for. Some of that is incentive based, Pro Bowls, Super Bowls, etc. Obviously those haven't been reached yet. So it's not nearly the mugging your making it out to be. A good quarterback finds ways to win. A great QB does what you said in the last sentence of your first paragraph. It's obvious Eli isn't great so that's fine.
  10. The McNabb of three years ago looks upfield and throws a 16 yard strike to Greg Lewis after avoiding Craig Dahl. He doesn't stutter step for two yards on third and long like he did today. He's obviously missing something and his agressiveness has went down the drain.
  11. Yep, give them the bye. This team is as capable of winning a fluky playoff game on the road as they are of shitting the bed against the Vikings at home.
  12. It's not your money, so quit thinking from the business standpoint. Let Mara and Reese think about the money Eli's getting, and you just critique Eli based on what he's doing. If Eli had a base of 3 million a year and had a 3 year deal would you have said he played well today? Because it seems thats been your argument whenever numbers or facts have been presented that Eli actually had a pretty good game. The occasional case of a bad throw or two but that's why it wasn't a great game, it was a good game.
  13. If you recognize Eli by his contract then you are going to be dissappointed for the next five years. I don't see how what he earns has anything to do with how he plays for three hours. Let that go. For what we overpay with Eli, we make up for with bargains like Snee, Diehl, Tuck, Robbins, Kawika, Gibril, Toomer, etc. These things even out. Let it go. Eli's completion percentage was closer to 50% then you'd like because he was able to avoid sacks. Would you prefer a 54% completion percentage with 1 or 2 sacks or 63% completion percentage with 4-5 sacks? Because that was the alternative. Did Plax bail Eli out in the Lions game? How about the Bears game? Or any other game since Atlanta. Seriously, this proves that you are looking for anything to show that Eli sucks. Cole got Eli untouched from the blind side for crying out loud.
  14. That's gonna be us playing Seattle or Tampa in the wild card round if we play our regulars for four hard quarters against the Pats. Hopefully TC is taking note...
  15. If someone is bored, can they research the Giants 1st down playcalls when we get inside the five? It seems we always run it, then when that fails, we play action pass it, then we run again when that fails. It's pathetic, the team is so predictable in the red zone. Even the other parts of the game. If we ran for nothing on first, we were certainly passing on second. If we threw an incompletion on first, we were certainly running on second. Gilbride is an idiot.
  16. I didn't think he was that bad. He was better than the guy he replaced in Philly last year.
  17. How in his right mind could he have thought toomer's catch was a fumble?
  18. Every game he does, he insults the team that's winning in the 4th quarter for not putting the game away.
  19. It doesn't matter if we have a better record than the division winner, the division winner plays a game at home. I think I'd rather play a road game then home game anyway.
  20. Yeah but if TC knows what's right he won't care about that. People will give the Pats another asterisk because the last game of the year a team gave them their 16th win. But 15 other teams would have had their chance and failed. We wouldnt be any different.
  21. Five years down the road the Tigers will be kicking themselves. Maybin will be the catalyst on a great Marlins offense and Miller will be shredding through the NL. Willis will be get killed in the AL and Cabrera will continue to be a great hitter. Marlins got the better side IMO.
  22. If we have a spot clinched by then, I will be fuming if our starters are in during the second half. Coughlin shouldn't feel the need to beat the Pats that bad to have Plax out there hobbling with nothing on the line and risk others. My hope is that it'll be a pre-season game by the third quarter, they'll be up 31-10 and it'll be Wright vs. Cassel. Do we really want to go toe to toe for 60 minutes, only to lose and then go on a 4+ hour flight to Seattle barely a week after?
  23. Tampa. Seattle would kill us with their 4 wide sets and negate our pass rush. That and the home field advantage is different. Seattle is more legit than Tampa IMO.
