The reason why the Patriots were so great for that 5 year span was very few holdouts for stuff like that, despite players deserving bigger contracts. If Osi can swallow his pride and "deal with" his current contract, it can set the tone for others that might be unhappy with their contract.

I'm kind of happy too. It shows that Reese isn't going to be over-paying no matter what the circumstance is. I like his stance. I remember after the Patriots started to win Super Bowls, every year people were saying their secondary was done after cutting Ty Law and Lawyer Milloy. But they kept on finding viable replacements for cheaper. We can do the same thing.

I agree. There was a bootleg play this year at home, I think it was against the Vikings, where he was out in the open with only one guy in front of him. And he went down really easily for a 4 yard gain or something. He's not the same player. Injuries, no chemistry with quarterbacks, and not performing his routes well is what did him in. It's a shame.

There are some red flags raised about him. 45 yards in penalties ON THREE CONSECUTIVE PLAYS! That is ridiculous. Lucky for us is we have a great foundation of leadership on defense that wouldn't put up with his shit. That's what has me more in tune to the idea. And if he's really looking for 10 million a year, that's gonna be really hard to pay. Especially when we have other issues.

No he didn't. That was Chris Houston. Hall's a decent cover guy, and the second biggest playmaker in the league at CB behind Cromartie. Put him with the pass rush we have his coverage skills look even better, and he gets more turnover oppurtunities. I'm really mixed on this.
