  1. I just have one other comment about your assessment. I thought that usually, players get their bonuses immediately, not distributed over the course of their contract evenly.

Milledge is just trying to get the media typing stuff with that quote. He hasn't even played in Triple AAA Norfolk yet. If we needed him mid-season, I bet he'd be ready.
  3. It was actually a relatively warm season at the Meadowlands. Aside from the Cowboys game, there was nothing that got me freezing. Except the night before the Cowboys game, I was barfing everything out of my stomach the whole night.
  4. Maybe the high was hotter that day but the following could have played a role in it: 1. 4:15 start 2. Much much shorter game then St. Louis (wasn't that the third longest regular season game in Giants history?)
  5. At least they are playing tough.
  6. So what specifically do you cover in sports management?
  7. If we don't get the deal done and we give up officially for now at least, is there a chance we can get it done by maybe like September or something like that? So then, the damage to the Skins would be done and we have the new deal.
  8. We're smarter then that now to draft guys like Cedric Jones. If Cromartie is not there, then we should go LB or BPA. Possibly even trade down.
  9. That could be part of the reason but the NFL is going to do anything to try to get this deal anything and if that means delaying FA, they will do that. I wouldn't be surprised if it would be delayed three more days at the last minute if the talks are getting gradually better.
  10. If we do manage to get a quality LB and a nice third WR, I don't see what the problem would be by drafting Cromartie after signing Dyson. We have the proven guy in Andre and then we have the two guys who have loads of potential in Cromartie and Webster. Peterson could be the starter though, or a potential June 1st cut depending on his status.
  11. Now that's a guy I'd be looking to sign if I were the Giants. Should come for the right price and I believe we just missed out on him last off-season.
  12. Brooks may be a possible cut also. I'd take a look at him if I were the G-men. Ronde's in the realm of possibility also. The unknown guy is Lawayer. I don't know what he's going to be asked for or what his performance has been like the last two years with Buffalo and if he can still play another two years or so with the G-men.
  13. I forgot to put not only the players, I'll edit that now.

    Mlledge

This kid looks great so far. He's gotten clean, solid hits left and rigth and is doing awesome. Can't wait for him to come up at some point later this season or next. He says he has a target date to come up but he wouldn't say. All he said was "Maybe I'm ready now."
  15. At least you admit it. For that, you can stay.
  16. I want to keep the cap simply from preventing the chance of us becoming a lower tier team by spending money during the new stadium's building and for other teams to get stronger during that time.
  17. Would Milloy work with us if we signed him? What do you guys think is the range of money that he is asking for.
  18. Yeah, I was there. If you don't believe me, ask the sun burns I had all over my face, ears, and basically everything exposed the day after. That was one hot game
  19. No, but the NFL is, or at least should be committed to getting this deal done. As it is, I believe the NFL owners and the commissioner have more power then the NFLPA. At least, that's what I read on a post here. It's not only the players that are causing the problem here. It's Gene Upshaw. And besides, Alexander doesn't need there to be no cap if he does sign long term this off-season. No matter what, there will be a cap whether we get the CBA extension or not.
  20. Shit. Then the deal better go through because I've been waiting long enough.
  21. Well, they let Damon walk. They let Pedro walk. They've proven plenty to show they have a backbone.
  22. Come on Mets fans, don't boo him yet. He did get some hits off Wagner in BP As for Anderson, I'll take very fast. Not many people these days are Reyes fast.
