Probably the most intensity was in that late August game against Phillies. The Castro game. I thought Beltran had finally turned it around that day...
  2. For all we know, we would've gone 8-8 if we drafted Ben. Since we payed so much to draft Eli, we had pressure to put him in. However, with Ben, it wouldn't been as forceful to put him in since we were 5-3. If we stuck with Kurt, we may have gone 8-8, 9-7 somewhere around that.

Red Sox Yankees game are the exception. I'm talking about Mets Dodgers.

No that's 90 bucks a seat per game. This deal is amazing and actually hard to believe. Not that I don't believe him but that's one sick deal.

That's the world series. As far as I'm concerned, every world series game is the game of the century from the beginning. The intensity of baseball in the stadium is not that great. At least not as good as football. I don't see the intensity of a Mid June game against the Dodgers or something like that. The only exceptions are pennant race games, opening day, and of course playoff games.

Wish I could say the same. btw, did you get that six pack thing in the mail for 90 bucks a game like bigDfan did?

Unless it's the game of the century, I'd rather be home then watch a game in the nosebleeds in baseball. It's just not worth it there.

Couldn't blame em after what Carlos and Pedro did a day earlier I think against Atlanta

I remember that game too. The squeeze by Matsui to take the lead. And he had a game tying hit before earlier too. It was full of lead changes and wound up with us winning.

I was on vacation at that time, in Israel. I remember I saw the score on CNN, but never saw the game highlights. All I remember is that on Thursday there I put my wish in the Western Wall saying that I wish we'd sweep the Yankees

They played the Astros last year and how come they never tell any of us about this stuff?

This one might be an exception.

Here's something. It's 92 bucks per seat. Say I want to go with three other people. Then it's 368 bucks per game. 368 times 6 is 2208 bucks and thats a shitload of money considering it's only 6 games out of 81. And that's the best offer.

That's where it all started for the Yanks, maybe Giambi and it gradually started to end for us then. I almost got tix to that game too.

Gone already? I actually think it's a bad deal. For six Mets game say with two seats, it costs more then Giants games in the six pack. I don't want to spend more on six out of 81 Mets games then 10 (including pre-season) Giants games at the meadowlands

It's not too urgent that I need to go. I mean I would love to but going to opening day isn't the same thing as going to Giants opening day. I am hoping for Yanks tix

No But if I'm lucky, I am leaving out the possibility of leaving school early just to watch it. I have gym and an elective when the game starts, so it's not as if I'm missing anything.

    Eli

By that stat, it shows that his second best quarter is his first. And against the Chargers, Rams, and other teams, he did prove he can play in the first quarter. Two accurate spirals, you have a link for that?
  21. Agreed. Unless the CBA doesn't go through and Washington has to cut like... everyone. It could be dominant though. Osi and Strahan may be the two best pass rushers in the conference and a guy like Glover would only help the cause for our d-line.

    Eli

Ever since we got shutout in the playoffs, everyone has been discrediting Eli saying he hasn't proved anything or by our Fab 4 claiming that he is a week arm hick. So I decided to compile a list of pros about Eli. Feel free to add on to it and if you Eli haters are longing to make a con list about Eli, feel free to do so. 1. Don't take anything away from him, he proved that he can take a team to a division title in his first season in what may be the toughest division in football. 2. Proved he can lead a comeback under major pressure against some of the best, Broncos and Seahawks. No one credits him as much as they should for Eli's comeback against the Broncos. We were coming off a loss against Dallas and if we did lose that game, we would be 3-3 with no momentum going into a crucial game against Washington. I'm sold if that we did lose that game, I don't think we were going to make the playoffs. 3. Proved he can lead comebacks on the road under pressure against Dallas and Seattle. Against Dallas he really lead two comebacks. He lead a 40 second comeback the second time in two passes which was even more remarkable. And against Seattle, that was just pure skill. Down 21-13 he lead an excellent drive against it turns out the best team in the NFC and maybe the toughest place to play in the NFC. Got the TD, then got the two point conversion. That was one clutch pass to Shockey. 4. Proved he can play in hostile environments. Chargers game. We all know the story. I never saw any more of a rough crowd on a certain player before. He came in and exceeded all expectations, even impressed the crowd. When down 21-3, they were laughing at him, mocking him, anything. He didn't care. Got 17 straight points going into the half. 5. Proved he can also have the 4 TD games. St. Louis game he was just on fire. Obviously Plax helped the cause but don't take anything away from Eli in that game. He also proved that he has the skill and athleticism to make the perfect pass, specifically the TD pass to Shockey which he put in the perfect spot. 6. Proved he can throw against some of the best defenses. Against Pittsburgh last year in only his fifth game coming off a 0 passer rating, he threw for a 103.6 which could have been better if Toomer was healthy on that INT then he may have caught it. If it wasn't for some bad calls, we definitely could have won that game. There is probably more but I save the rest for you guys.
  23. They won six straight cames wise guy.
  24. That's what they said about Randy Johnson but he didn't do so great. Stottlemyre must have done some stuff with Chacon to make him more consistent. Ever since he arrived with the Yankees, he had the opposite situation where he had more command of his stuff when if anything when pitchers arrive there, they lose it a bit. I can't say that Chacon will be great this year but I can see why he was drafted.
  25. With Frerotte as QB, they overacheived, big time. They were so confused at QB going into the season and for the most part unless you have a completely dominating defense like the Bears did, you're only as good as your QB. You can't say with a straight face that you expected Frerotte to carry the Dolphins somewhat down the stretch. Saban had yet to prove anything heading into the season, so you couldn't have called him a great coach. Going into his second season, now you can seeing what he had done to this team, motivating them to win six straight games down the stretch despite playing for nothing.
