  1. When I think about end arounds, I think about the foolish decision to have Tyree run it instead of Carter in the Chargers game. He had so much room and he botched the handoff from Eli where he could've run so far. I have faith that if we had Carter in that play he was off to the races and would've held on to the ball.
  2. Classic But I don't think anyone could be that stupid. The way he sounded according to your conversation, it looks like he really doubts they'll be getting SNY. So that's a pretty bad sign.
  3. And to add on to that, I'm going to throw Pennington in here for a little bit. An incomplete pass may be successful in ways. If it's a deep pass but is incomplete it opens up the game a little bit more for short passes and the running game. There is more to the game then the stats. Now to the Chad part. I watch almost every Jets game a year out of pure hatred for them and love of football and this is what I notice. Even though Chad has tremendous accuracy, he has a very simple throwing style. I can almost guess it every passing down. "8 yard out to Coles." "6 yard dump off to Sowell." It's the same shit! Even though they move the ball, the defense is certainly not on their heels playing defense. That is why even when Chad was healthy, the Jets didn't have as much success on offense as they can and really if C-Mart wasn't as great as he was, who knows what would've happened? Point is, incompletions can be a blessing in disguise at some points.
  4. For that price, why not? I still leave out a little bit of hope that he could finally live up to his expectations this season so I want to see how he responds. Maybe the faith that we put into him for re-siginging him will motivate him to have a great season.
  5. No, you just happened to guess what hundreds and thousands of other fans are thinking too. Don't get your pantsies in a bunch As for Williams, it's a year too early to draft an RB.
  6. Reluctantly, I am accepting the fact that we aren't getting him. We are losing a player for THIS season that could put our offense on another level. But deep down, I know we could save that money for NEXT off-season where there could be a much more talented WR and the money would be better used. Kind of like trading Lastings Milledge for Manny Ramirez. I got through the stretch of bitterness and disappointment of not obtaining Manny and now I'm seeing the positives come through more and more with Lastings hitting the game winning double last night.
  7. Notice how he continues to put up some of the best numbers in the league? David Eckstein. I tell you, he has that juiced type of frame doesn't he?
  8. Would it have been better if the Chiefs got him?
  9. I'm not too thrilled with Carolina landing him though.
  10. No but since 1998 I have seen the Ravens vs. Giants Super Bowl, Giants vs. 49ers playoff game, and the 2003-2004 seasons along with some of the biggest heartbreakers I'll probably ever see like the Eagles game in 03 and the Seahawks game this season. I can deal with pain now. What I don't know how to deal with is winning.
  11. See, why can't giants.com be a site for some rumors that are going on? I know when I look for an update with the off-season that I should go on the message boards instead of the site, which is pretty sad when you think about it.
  12. Mort just reported I heard on ESPN News that we aren't one of the three front runners to sign Lavar.
  13. AND I wasn't alive for the Giants ones
  14. Doesn't matter, wasn't even alive for both of ours. But did you draft and/or develop some future franchise stars in your farm system? I can say we did.
  15. Yarg, wasn't so happy with that thinking about it but if that were to happen in real life there would be Merriman instead of Tatupu. Can't go wrong with either one except you don't have to give up your whole draft for Lofa. I am committed to a better draft
  16. I agree, I'd just about give up the Mets if that were to happen.
  17. When you think about it, it's for the best. The Sox rushed Schill back too quickly last year and it came back to haunt them during the stretch and into the playoffs. We don't need him to start so quick, at least quicker then he needs to. We just need him ready for the dog days of summer.
  18. How many in the last five years?

    TRUCE...

I'll belive it when I see it
  20. Was it a hard hit or a blooper?
  21. We'll get to the playoffs this year but with our thin rotation, I doubt much further unless we make a move at the deadline.
