  1. Wait, what happened to Wright? I assume Julio pitched on Friday night, how did he look then?
  2. I don't see where you got that accurate deep ball from. The only real accurate deep ball I remember him throwing was that incredible TD pass to Moss against SD in the playoffs. And I still have a feeling God carried that one. Eli has made some very nice long passes when he's on his game. When he's off.... errr. When Chad was healthy, would I have liked him on my team? Of course. But he was very, very overrated. When the stat sheet read, 19/25 219 yards and all the analysts were saying that he's a special talent, it made me shake my head. I watch everyone of his games and most of those yards came on short passes to Sowell who ran 11 yards with it, quick passes to Moss, etc. Within 10-15 yards, he is a fine QB. Outside of it, nothing special. As far as I'm concerned, the Pats were the first team to figure him out. They covered the short pass areas and forced him to throw past 15 yards and had success while doing so.
  3. For every negative article on Lavar, there are five positive ones. Why don't you post them?
  4. If one of those guys get to 13, EA my try to pull the trigger. I don't see them falling past 13 though but I'm willing to slightly overpay to get to that slot where we can draft a DT that can put our d on another level.
  5. I am one of the guys who have stood up for Luke but he is not our long term answer. Get a guy who we can groom for two years while Luke is in there.
  6. Note, teams don't draft by positions in the 7th round. And third round I could see us going WR.
  7. Yeah I know but for some reason I've heard rumors of restructuring. Does that eliminate any chance at Eric Mangold at #25?
  8. I don't think Buckner is THAT good. We can live without him and I'd rather a guy who comes with less baggage that can be an okay DT from time to time during the game. Last I heard he's on the verge of restructuring.
  9. I'm sorry, that's one of the funniest things I've ever read
  10. I'd like an OT but if we draft a guy like McNeil or Winston, I'd like to trade down because I don't think they are worthy of the #25 pick. Moss is still on my radar and I would love to trade up for either of the top two DTs.
  11. Shepperd made that drop and that was a great throw. But I remember to start the game he sucked big time.
  12. If we have the money, why should we use it? We could save for next off-season where it is said we should have just as much money as we did this off-season. We could make an even bigger splash next year in FA. Just because we have the money, doesn't mean we have to use it. I don't want to save like the Eagles do even though it has given them remarkable success over the years but I do want to save some for the future.
  13. Special talent? Yes, he was a good guy and a solid, consistent QB but hardly a special talent. Even before his injuries he never had a deep ball. He's a tremendous decision maker and accurate passer but past 15 yards he's nothing out of the ordinary.
  14. Simms is the next Chad Pennington in the making. The only thing going for him really is he has good accuracy and a good long ball from time to time. He's extermely overrated already and he's not going to be anything special. I'd like to have him on my team but when we have Eli? No.
  15. I decided to take advantage of the elements surrounding me for this one. I have this poetry project thing and my topic is weather. My teacher is obviously looking for poetry but also wants good graphics. So I decided, why not ask my good buddies at sportswrath to make me a "sig" or two to help me out! Right now, I am looking to have lightning, rain, snow, sleet, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. Then make it say somewhere in something "weatherish" "My literary portfolio." Thanks a lot guys, any type of help would be appreciated.
  16. We need 8 innings tonight out of Pedro. 7 is the bare minimum.
  17. I think the Colts would want Williams really bad. And they would probably think he wouldn't fall to their slot. Maybe we can trade down 5 spots and get some nice picks in return.
  18. Man, he came out of nowhere in that picture! Do that to TO lavar
  19. It really has to be Carpenter. Now, here is an interesting scenario. We all know that NE and Cleveland really like Carpenter. Maybe if they are that desperate for him, but still would rather have taken the guy they picked due value wise, we could shop around our pick and we give them our #25 for a future first rounder and this year's third from them, maybe even second. I'd be all for that.
  20. Unbelievable. I want to throw EA a surprise party.
