  1. I was being sarcastic with that millionaire comment. I'm aware about how much he makes and how high he is among the best paid closers in the game. If nothing else, at least he's more intimidating then Looper
  2. He's LB. And his time is running out too.
  3. I guess he saves both the opposing pitcher and his own pitcher from jams.
  4. The CG is a fun part of baseball. And for some reason, those stats are declining. I guess the game is starting to turn more into a bullpen oriented type of pitching then anything else right now. It seems the Mets can't wait to get to their pen right now, no matter who is pitching and how well they are doing so.
  5. In defense of the Yanks, not many pitchers are pitching CGs these days.
  6. And another weirdass Yankee game.
  7. Maybe we're starting to turn the corner.... Yeah it's the Pirates, I know. Braves tomorrow
  8. Yeah, is that two of the last four or five games he's gotten a game leading walk or HBP?
  9. In Wagner's defense, there are a lot of millionaire closers I have faith that Billy will come on.
  10. Yahoo must've made a type-o. Valentin with an RBI single?
  11. Clutch HBP by A-rod. I wasn't watching but I'm putting money that Michael Kay said that.
  12. Pretty weird considering Santana was 10 picks before us, Peyton was 20 picks before us, and no one knew who Matt Hasselbeck was at the time. Maybe if we had control of the situation
  13. Clemens for one. Johnson pitched very well at 39 when he was with the D'backs throughout the whole season, pitching a lot of innings. Maddux has looked pretty damn good lately. Smotlz. The list goes on and on.
  14. Sage is a six year veteran. Last year was his fifth year so at least he had veteran experience. Vick on the other hand next year will have no playing time experience and one year of watching football. I can see where you are going down the road 3-4 years from now but still, Vick's not that good. Oh yeah, the Chargers pass D is pitiful. Sage picked a good game to come into. Great performance but not something worth talking about a year later and using as an example to defend a guy like Marcus Vick. And it didn't hurt having Chambers in there either, he made some amazing catches to help Sage out.
  15. I see plenty of pitchers that throw much harder and many more innings then Glavine around his age pitching brilliantly in September and October.
  16. I don't see what you base on by burning out in Mid July considering last year when we had a lot less talent we burnt out on Septmeber 5th. I don't really know what to make of these two teams though. So confusing with their inconsistent hitting and questions at starting rotation.
  17. Glavine looks great so far. The funny thing is he's not even trying to strike these guys out. These are just tremendous pitches.
  18. Think he's getting the day off today... well deserved.
  19. What type of impact is he going to make when he's riding the bench behind Daunte.
  20. I can't disagree with that. Olson gives you similar talent level and is a better guy overall then Vick. I don't think he'll be anything more than an okay QB in the NFL though. There's a reason he wasn't drafted. But if it had to go between Vick and Olson, I'd say Olson.
  21. And we've done it every way imaginable.
  22. I'm just glad no one got hurt last night, especially Reyes running that triple out and Beltran with his hammy. Billy's been somewhat dissappointing but show some faith.
  23. I meant Wagner. I'm heading out, long night. Julio is improving, just leaves one or two pitches over the middle of the plate a game and never gets away with them.
