  1. He does, but the arguement for overrated does not really fit the way he is hyped by the media and the fans, so I wouldn't call him the most underrated on the team. Can we do better? Yes. Are we content with what we have? Absolutely.
  2. That pic was what I was referring to for our defensive setup on passing downs such as third and 11. Excuse the horrible looking pic because I made it in paint within 5 minutes. Basically on the defensive side of the ball, O stands for Osi, who plays outside, T for Tuck plays relatively inside of Osi because he has more experience on the inside, W for Joseph plays the middle, and the two outside guys can be put in either spot. I don't think you can go wrong where you put those two. L stands for Lavar who can play virtually anywhere along with A for Pierce. I think this order for the d-line can work in multiple ways, not just the way I put it.
  3. Exactly, there's never going to be a Celtics of 40 years ago or something like that. There's a window in the NFL. And that window shuts ever year. The Colts' oppurtunity is running out, which is why they have to win fast. The Eagles' window appeared to shut on them last year, just in a different way. Ours is starting to get as wide as it can be.
  4. For some reason there is no poll option lately. It's tough to say right now but my immediate guess would be: Giants Cowboys Skins Eagles
  5. You mean the joke about it? It means that they should put an asterisk by his record.
  6. I woudn't mind signing a guy like Carpenter or Plummer to short, low pay deals.
  7. Finn's a decent blocker and has decent hands. And it's not as if you see Finn jerseys everywhere you turn and he's on ESPNs top 10 everyday. He gives you all that you need from a FB. Most underrated I'd say would go to Pierce. He's an absolute stud and even though it was a short season for him, he played amazing, especially down the stretch. The thing that dissappoints me even though it's not that big of a deal is that Lavar jerseys are flying off the shelf when he hasn't played a down for the Giants and we really don't know his current situation and I don't see Osi and Pierce jerseys in many areas despite them being great guys and outstanding athletes.
  8. Who would you have drafted at #25 instead?
  9. That's why I would have loved to get a guy like Justice at 32. But I guess there had to be reasoning for his major freefall. I think we should be looking either RB (depending on what we see out of Jacobs/Ward this season), LT, and Paul Posluzny from PSU. I doubt he'd fall to 32 but does he play WILL or SAM?
  10. Seeing that he's come out nowhere, it looks like he's been a hard worker, TC's type of guy.
  11. Also forgot to mention Bradford on that list. I still like our pen even without Heilman. Would've been great if had Padilla though.
  12. Did the pass out those asterisks or what?
  13. Why would we move arguably one of the best pass rushers in NFL history to DT, a position he's never played? If anything, spread the line out and get Willie J in the middle with 4 rushers to the outside.
  14. No one here knows for sure, no matter how realistic it sounds with Tuck. We will have some crazyass schemes on defense this year, schemes probably most of us haven't seen the Giants run. I expect at least a 5-2 on passing downs...
  15. The thing is, I firmly believe Heilman will be part of the starting rotation next season. So maybe we can give him a headstart on that and hope he doesn't get too used to being in the pen, because he has starter's stuff. I wasn't for moving him to the rotation before but now with Julio starting to come on and all the other guys in the pen pitching well, I think it's the right move even if we aquire a guy like Affeldt.
  16. I think Heilman has to be moved up to the rotation now.
  17. It wasn't a prediction. It was a fact.
  18. I don't see any reasoning for Willie to say that, seeing that we have Wagner and Sanchez is turning into a hell of a reliever.
  19. Here comes Proctor. Another superb outing by Sturtze.
  20. Ummm... Willie had no one else to put in. Wagner, Heilman, and Sanchez were all given the day off.
  21. Wanna wait until the game is over first? After all, Sturtze is in.
