  1. The only thing that really comes to mind is doing something wrong was when he said something true. Called Parcells a homo.
  2. That was a great throw no doubt. There are spots I like of him, and some things I don't. I'm pretty excited about him.
  3. If that dropped line drive didn't resemble Plaxico Burress when he makes a drop, I don't know what does.
  4. Yes, a breath of fresh air. It's a small play, but it's just a tribute to how great Osi was going to be. Remember on second and two at home against Dallas, when we were up 17-10? It was the fourth quarter I believe, and the play that always burns us, the fake inside handoff pitch outside to Julius Jones was going on. Osi was one on one with Jones, and he literally had no one else within 10 yards of him. Jones breaks outside and we all know how fast he can be. Osi chases him down the sidelines and out of bounds for just a one yard gain. You have to be a damn fast end to make that play. That set up third and one where Bledsoe took a shot deep and an incomplete pass. That was a huge stop and a critical play in the game.

    Jeter

I wish I could have seen the play again, but I could have sworn that he had to go to the right to make the play and was backing up at the same time. Does anyone have a clip of this play? I watched the play and I guess it just blurred out of my mind. Maybe I'm losing my memory with age

    Jeter

I thought it was the right decision for Jeter. I don't think you guys know how tough a play that was. Fielding backhand with a fast runner coming home. If he misses that throw, it's absolute disaster and the game is basically over. When you know Mo is coming in and you have the offense the caliber of the Yankees, you play for the tie in this case, and hope for the best afterwards. It was the right move by the Yankees and Jeter.
  7. I was just bringing up his stats from last night to continue on to the article. But if you want to take that comment the wrong way, be my guest.
  8. At least I expect the Mets to get shut down this time in a Pedro start.
  9. And A-rod has a 1/4 night and grounds out to the catcher, tie ballgame top of the ninth.
  10. He looks like the type of guy that would have one. Gary Cohen brought up actually that the Mets want him to keep that feature. He looks like a nice guy and all, but I don't think the streets of NY and Lastings go together that easily. Tough to state that. So don't jump on me if you misunderstand me. He has a Santonio Holmes/Plax look to him. Hopefully, Wright and Reyes and others straighten him out if necessary.
  11. He does. But it looks like he is a type of htiter that pulls too much with his swing. He has to learn to go the other way.
  12. He looked really comftorable up there today. Not too fond of his gigantic cross. Looks like a Barry Bonds type of guy in his early years. He has some good pop in that bat for sure.
  13. Floyd has looked great lately. But he did the same thing last year. Except he just started to do great a little bit late. Then he goes into a horrible slump. So if he starts to struggle again, Mets fans should realize this is what Cliff does.
  14. Like Wright when he made his anticipated debut, Milledge has been struggling in Triple AAA. Nerves are going to get him tonight, and I expect him to go 0-4 for something like that. But I really hope we keep him and let him blossom into a star.
  15. A's are going to turn it up. They are too talented not to turn things around. They need Frank Thomas to step it up though.
  16. Cohen is supplying some weather jokes tonight. "Beltran tried to supply some thunder." "The Mets begin to pour it on." Says it right after the rain starts. It's a boring night and it deserves to be posted. 4-1 Mets
  17. I guess your good buddy lockhart may have to do some explaining to you....
  18. Why aren't you criticizing the other 26 teams for passing on Larry Johnson? And Tiki had a 1387 yard season, which was his breakout year. Fans would have exploded if we got Johnson. He still wouldn't have the oppurtunity to play now.
  19. Youch. 50 pitches for El Duque. Hermida crushed that one.
  20. I thought you were going to this game plax. What happened?
  21. If we get Bledsoe on his back foot, I think Madison and a safety can take TO. Webster is going to be the x-factor for the entire season. Can he cover Glenn by himself? Can he cover Reggie Wayne by himself? Can he cover Randle El by himself? He's going to be in for a tough time this year but I have a feeling he will impress.
  22. Sheff has been back for the last week.
