  1. Wouldn't it be great if Emmons lives up to the expectations that were put on him when he signed his deal with us?
  2. Toomer is sort of right. I remember heading into 03 we were expecting a top 5 offense and a very good defense out of our squad. Even though this year is more realistic of our expectations then 03, worse things have happened.
  3. Yeah, Wang should've been pulled in favor of Villone I think. In all fairness to Joe, who always makes questionable calls, he's in as hard of a situation as it gets with the way the pen is going for you guys. He deserves a little benefit for the moves he makes because he has a lot to worry about right now. I guess he was used to those great pens of the late 90s early 00s.
  4. Have you seen pics of Shockey wiz? I'm sure he could even take you down in a fight
  5. Our loss was just as bad as yours today. We looked HORRIBLE.
  6. Nah, we understand. We just wanted to let NYHC Giant realize what he said yesterday and how stupid it was. It's over now, we're cool NYHC
  7. In the Giants Panthers game, there was this huge group of Panthers fans in section 316 that were as annoying as hell. I really wanted them to fall down the stairs cheering or something like that. So if something good happens, feel free to rub it in.
  8. Great minds think alike Not to mention that Baltimore had won three straight heading in, and the Nats had lost five straight. And the Yanks had a seven run lead. We had a one run lead. hmmmm
  9. Just to add something in... the Yankees just lost to the Washington Nationals after having a seven run lead. That's pretty bad.
  10. How does us hanging on to 86 relate to this debate? You were making fun of us for losing to the Orioles, and I retaliated. No references to the past there. I don't get the main point of your arguement now..
  11. Milledge already has his home run which was bigger than Melky's and I'm not going around asking for his jersey Face it, Melky's going to be a good player. But his first home run isn't going to be that memorable. Considering it took what 120 ABs to get?
  12. Yes you did. You said "Torre will never have to reprimand Melky for lack of hustle." That's a conclusion if I ever saw one.
  13. Yeah. Of course, the Mets always seem to help out young pitchers who are struggling that we have never seen before. Although we actually hit him a little bit yesterday, it's unbelievable how much we struggle against young talented pitchers that we face for the first time. That's why I'm glad we didn't get Cole Hamels against the Phillies. I'm sure he would've shut us down.
  14. It's baseball man. It's not like the Giants losing to the Vick-less Falcons when we are fighting for a playoff spot. Everyone loses to bad teams, and the Orioles are hot right now. You're giving Yankees fans an even more idiotic name. That's just a stupid comment on your part about the O's. You barely beat the Nats last night, and they are just as bad as the Orioles. You've lost to the Orioles before too
  15. He'll be fine. Maybe we could use another reliever just in case but I still have faith in Aaron. Everyone goes through slumps during a baseball season whether it's pitching or hitting. It's basically the inevitable.
  16. He may have had a hurt elbow more than we know. And it was basically his rookie season.
  17. Reyes had this type of start in the beginning of the year. However, he has been very patient at the plate lately, and it is easy to see improvement in his game. He's very enjoyable to watch when he's on his best game, no doubt.
  18. It'd be interesting to see how that would work out. I wouldn't mind trading Cliff to you guys if we get the right things in return. With that short porch in right, that may help Cliff out.
  19. With the way Shockey looks, anyone would've lost to Shockey in a fight down in Miami.
  20. You should see me right aruond there
  21. I'd rather just trade Floyd to you guys this year for some more depth in middle relief. We'll take Proctor.
  22. Considering that losing Hideki and Sheff is actually an upgrade on defense, you can't blame that on injuries. Your defense just sucked. I don't care if it's June or not, the Mets recent streak commends respect.
  23. I actually agree here. If Posada didn't have that reaction to being hit earlier in the game, none of this happens. Still, it's not that big of a deal.
