    David Wright

At least the chants are a bit more reasonable then they were earlier in the year. He had those chants in the first week of the season right?
  2. It's the worst thing I've ever heard.
  3. link At least others hate the new Mets song too...
  4. I can't have those long term type dreams for me. I did have a nightmare one time though that Bob Sheppard announced Eli Manning into the game but it was Dave Brown that broke out of the tunnel and played until I woke up.
  5. He blew a save, big deal. Wagner's not that great but like Plow said he's a good closer. After the Yankees game he didn't give up a run until this outing. And I don't consider it choking in a Mets Reds game in mid June. If that's choking, then so is every other blown save. There are a lot of choke artists in the majors in that case then. Lay off a little bit, we're overpaying him and he hasn't been performing but we'er going to get some nice streaks from him and a bad game from time to time. Hopefully that time won't be in the playoffs.
  6. Didn't watch the game but I like what I heard
  7. Yeah, Valentin has been very nice for us so far. Proved all of us wrong. He's going to have his slumps because he wasn't that great of a player in his prime and that he is older. But Woodward is a perfect backup for him so I'm content at second right now.
  8. This was his first blown save in 13 1/3 innings or something like that. Pissed off? Yeah, but we have to stick wit him. I'm not going to defend him but I'm not going to throw him under the bus. The give him some time thing has little arguemental value, so I can't defend him. I bet Wagner will wind up a setup man in his last two years of his contract, with that kid Henry Owens coming up through the farm.
  9. I'll be with you in spirit, that's for sure. However, I'll be cozy at home watching us in an extremely loud stadium.
  10. Are you agreeing or disagreeing with me? I can't really tell with that statement...
  11. Come on, all of us knew that there were going to be some rough stretches for this team. We're just losing close games right now. We can't win big at home it seems. We're a very good team, certainly among the elite in the NL. But everyone knows that we weren't going to play at that pace that we did on the road trip right?
  12. And a struggling one at that. We are a better team than the previous years but it looks like some things never change
  13. I think you are reaching a little bit here. Beckett and Pavano both playing for Florida really have nothing to do with each other. What does them both playing in Florida a couple of years ago have to do with each other? There's no way we can call him a Yankee killer after a few starts against them, and there is no way he could be called the next Carl Pavano after a few more starts that are similar to Pavano's.
  14. If it was in Philly, that doesn't surprise me.

    Tom Cruise is perfect there!
  16. For a game like this, it's definitely worth taking the next day off.
  17. This is by far the most excited I've been for football season in my entire life. I can't wait! I just had my eighth Colts-Giants dream last night. It was something around my and my Dad climbing a giant snow covered log into some town where we had dinner. Then showed up 1 hour late for the game and there was no one there
  18. It sucks that El Duque's start was bounced short last week, hopefully he comes back strong.
  19. Yeah but we started off pretty mediocre too when we were healthy. We had tough losses, couldn't cap off drives (anyone remember the Pats game?), and of course the infamous Westbrook return. And I don't care if we were really hurt at the time or not, we lost to the 1-7 Falcons I think and that's where it was over for us.
  20. My god, this kid sounds just like Plax
