I have to agree. Even when he's been hot he's only compiled like seven homers in the last month and a half. And there's even a chance he won't even stay this hot either. -
That's gotta be annoying to the fans and thats's really disruptive for the hitters. I don't know why this hasn't been taken care of but it is annoying as hell.

Even though this may be a bad example because Damon threw him out on the play, Johnny is probably one of the only few OFs that Manny would've tried to get a double on. So baserunners do take into consideration Johnny's arm.

Papelbon went 2 and a third yesterday right? He's definitely a started but the Sox have to see what they have in Hansen before they even think about moving Papelbon out of the closer spot in favor of him.

The thing is, Wright can cover the plate better than so many players in the majors today. He can go the other way with ease and he can crush an inside pitch over the left field fence. Zimmerman's good but I don't think he will have the plate coverage that Wright has.

They don't pitch inside as much as they used to and they don't slide into homeplate barreling into the catcher like they used to.

It's not just the money, players have to work with each other now with the Players union crap going on. This was actually discussed in a book that I'm reading now.

It's time for all baseball fans to face facts. There were just too many cheaters in the steroid era just to pick out a few of them, and that's what we've been doing. Over 70% of the majors used some type of cheating drugs I bet.

Zimmerman's a fine young player but I don't believe there is a comparison here. After half a season you can't say he equals a young player who has already established himself as an elite MLB player.
