That should never have happened. Posada was clearly out at first. Similar to the Pirates game last year in the Bronx where Sheff was out at first on a possible double play and then they went on to tie it and Giambi hit that walk-off home run in extras. Tonight was the first time I watched him. I thought he was extremely unimpressive through the first three innings. Everything was hit hard and he missed whenever he threw a breaking ball it appeared. However, starting in the fourth he kept the ball down, made some key pitches, and blew it by one of the best power hitters in baseball (Adam Dunn). He has a lot of fixing up to do for sure. edit: I had Pelfrey going 7 IPs 2 ERs today. Too bad I didn't post it to prove it

The Braves are going to be scary for us the rest of the season, but I can't see us blowing this lead. They simply don't have enough pitching to overcome the lead that they have to.

What I didn't understand is why they showed who won the awards for the ESPYs on sportscenter's top 10 on Thursday or Friday. Why would they show that? I guess they are getting desperate for top 10 material...
