  1. Props man... that's some nice stuff you posted
  2. It looks like you really want to see one of us live at a Mets game. I'll let you know the next time I'm going if you want
  3. I'm not all for Pelfrey staying in the rotation for the post-season. Unless he is extremely consistent in his time in the majors, I would rather him down in Double AA. He has some tailoring up to do, and he needs to develop a consistent second pitch.
  4. So I guess Arlington isn't an AL version of Coors field anymore?
  5. I think I didn't enjoy the solid pitching as much as I could have because it wasn't the flashy pitchers. If it was Roger Clemens shutting us down rather then Dave Borkowski and Chad Qualls it would have been more interesting. The Mets didn't get a hit after Nady's 3 run shot until the eighth inning. El Duque's 5th-7th innings were very enjoyable to watch for sure, but offensively it was extremely boring. We had a total of six hits I think in the game, and in the top of the 9th there was 20 minutes of absolutely nothing, ending with Woodward's strikeout. Thank god for Nady though :worshippy:
  6. And if one of these guys don't work out, we still have Bannister.
  7. Did you get close to catching Nady's homer? Oh, and remember that crazy guy dancing about 20 minutes before game time? Well, he was onlly 20 rows above me and a few sections to the right of me. So I almost got on "diamond vision."
  8. good point I gave a self-portrait of myself in a different thread. If it helps, I had Mets shorts on and a Mets hat too
  9. Were you the one who almost didn't give a kid in a white David Wright t-shirt a teddy bear today?
  10. Oh yeah, since it was raining and things were looking bad for the game, I wanted to bring home my own build a bear workshop Mets bear. So as soon as I walk in I said "I want a bear." The guy goes to me, "How old are you." I said with a straight face "Goin' on 13 in September." The guy gave me a weird look, then with a glare handed me the bear. I actually look a lot older then I am. I have a thick mustache, and hairier legs than a lot of teenagers (my friends want me to shave them but that's a separate issue, I'm not gonna). So he obviously didn't believe me. But I have my bear, and it is sitting right next to me.
  11. Wright I just found it today, I'm probably ordering it tomorrow.
  12. I was speaking for people I know and talk to in person... and that none of you guys said "this shit can't be true."
  13. That's probably the wackiest made up rumor ever. That trade rumor is so false and I'm shocked you guys believe it...
  14. I knew you were going to make a sig pic of A-rod soon enough classic
  15. The thing that killed me the most was David Wright having the day off. He had what, like one day off the entire season? I heard he gets a standing ovation almost every time he comes up, and I wanted toi be a part of it. Overall, the game was boring actually. Except for Nady's homer, there wasn't much to speak of. There was this family on the other side of my row that was really funny. The kids kept on spilling chocolate ice cream on a Yankee fans shirt by accident (it was a nice one btw), and it was chocolate ice cream too, so it definitely stained. So the 8 year old shows his Dad and he smiles then whispers "shhh, it's a Yankee fan." Even I wouldn't let my kids get away with that... And the ironic thing was at the end of the game it started to pour as soon as we got in the car.
  16. Another one tonight. A throwing error from what I heard. Anyone see it?
  17. Just my luck. He was switched from tomorrow to tonight and I'm going to tomorrow's game.
  18. True, just wanted to point that out
  19. One of the guys you got in that trade sure did great today
