  1. I wouldn't even put the Mets above the tigers and white sox.
  2. Ben Graham is the best player on the Jets.
  3. He's known as Maddog on the infamous New York radio show "Mike and the Maddog." He's basically the biggest asshole you'll ever listen to.
  4. You can't say he hasn't improved stopping the run. There is room for improvement but from where he was in his first couple of years there is no doubt he has come a long way. He made the play of the game that no one talks about at home against Dallas. It was second and 2 and it was a fake inside hand off to Barber I think then a pitchout to Jones. Osi was one on one with Jones and Osi was that quick to chase him out of bounds to make it third and one. Bledsoe threw an incompletion the next play and that forced a punt in the fourth quarter. Hopefully he continues to get better at stopping the run.
  5. :worshippy: :worshippy: :worshippy:
  6. And I thought that was pass interference on Mason too. Madison could've had that ball picked off. I didn't like that he spent 15 minutes shaking his head in a very cocky manner to our sideline. We know he didn't catch it Sam, go get setup for the next play. In all fairness to Gibril, Heap is an amazing TE. He hasn't had the chance to go one on one with anyone before because his other WRs have sucked and he hasn't had a chance to explode onto the scene yet because the QBs he's had sucked. It's nice to see he finally has a chance to really shine.
  7. Yeah, and his arms are really long too. That can be used as a plus for his game with proper coaching. I like what we got with him.
  8. Seriously, on goal line situations we should bring Lorenzen in as QB and Jacobs as RB. They can put 11 men in the box and they can't stop Lorenzen on a QB sneak. And who knows, once in a while we can air it out with the big guy
  9. He did in the first month. Then he starter to suck.
  10. He has great speed off the edge but if they ran it that play he would get burnt big time. He has to work on his overall game. But that's how Osi started out. As a one-dimensional pass rusher and he developed his run stopping ability over time. Hopefully that's the case with Kiwi.
  11. The second o-line is absolutely horrible. I was watching Guy Whimper specfically and he got destroyed by whoever he faced on nearly every down. After Seubert and Whitfield, if we need one of those guys we are screwed. Webster has to learn how to lower his shoulder on the tackle. There is no way that McNair should've been able to get into the end zone on that play. I was a little dissappointed of the lack of action that Jacobs got. I was expecting to see him get a lot of carries with Tiki and Ward both not playing. But he only got six carries. That got me a little upset. Mixed feelings on Eli's performance. He looked a lot more confident then I've ever seen him, it looked like he had total control of everything going on. I just feel more comftorable with him stepping back to throw unlike last year, where every passing down was dreaded. I was very mad when on third down we had a spread formation and Eli barely went through is progression and went to run it. Not very happy with that. Eli's throws look a lot stronger. His footwork looks better too which was all I was paying attention to. His medium routes were impressive on his throws to Toomer and Plax. We're going to see a different Eli this year I think. That throw to Plax has to be a TD during the regular season. No excuses. And Plax has to drag his feet in bounds or at least show more effort. So not happy about that either. Don't be scared yet by our first string defense. We were without three of our main starters and our defense has always sucked during pre-season. We never blitz and that is the reason why we failed to get pressure on McNair. I am a little bit worried on how badly Gibril got burnt by Todd Heap though. But we'll be fine on defense. Hasselbeck wasn't that hard to watch this time around. It seems like he understands and grasps the system well enough and is a decent backup. Better then Lorezen and Johnson at least. Carter was impressive for sure. Kiwanuka is FAST! I was very impressed by those three consecutive plays but he was very luck they were pass plays. Because if they were runs to his sides, there probably would have been a very good gain for the back. Kind of like Osi was in his first impression as a Giant. So I see good things in the future for Kiwi. Did anyone else see Jonas and Duckett rapping at the end of the game? That made me crack up. I have a feeling we're going to have a big offensive game agaisnt the Chiefs this Thursday. My take on it.
  12. I like Torre and think he is a very good manager, but what he is doing to Villone is terrible overuse. He's using him nearly every day whether you are winning or losing and it's always over an inning. And outside of Mo, he's your best reliever. You guys don't have a day off for a little less than 3 weeks and he is burning out your best setup man.
  13. Records since Russo became Yanks fan: Red Sox: 3-1 Yankees: 1-3 I hate Russo.
  14. All of a sudden it's a race again. I'm never going to talk smack during a baseball season again unless it is totally deserved. It always winds up being a jinx. Just because I said it was a race again, the Yanks are going to win 6 straight and the Sox are gonna lose 4 out of the next 6.
  15. "You can put it on the boarddddddddddddddddddd YES!" I have to say that's more annoying then Michael Kay's "C ya" line.
  16. Have you read any of my 50,000 explanations for liking the Sox as well as the Mets? Most Mets' fans second favorite team is the Red Sox. Why? Because we hate the Yankees and they are the only legitimate threat that can stop the Yanks from getting into the playoffs. I don't consider myself a part of Red Sox nation but I do root for them when I watch gameday.
  17. Hopefully the suicide rate is low tonight over there. I've slowly began to realize over the last couple of weeks that this division is the Yankees anyway, and the fact that football is back for the G-men tomorrow and the Mets sweep made this easier...
  18. The way he acted was so immature too, it really got on my nerves. Smiling when fans of all teams called him a horrible fan and any other name basically. One Met fan that called in made a great point. Being a Yankee hater in the playoffs is just as fun as being a Yankee fan in the playoffs. Down 4-2, runner on first and two outs in the bottom of the eighth, watching A-rod strike out in that spot would be just as fun as watching him hit a home run. That actually got Russo thinking...
  19. Wow. And you know what, this means that if the Yankees blow this division lead, that would be horrible. No pressure on the Sox now. They fucking blew this one.
  20. It was the middle but whatever. Fuck, they blew another lead. Now trailing one heading into the 9th.
  21. Because he needs to have someone to root for. And it's the day after Paps blows the save and the Yanks hold on to beat Chicago.
  22. Remember, you guys got swept by the Royals last year too
  23. Did anyone listen/see Chris Russo today? I just watched it and it is disgraceful. I'm sure you Yankees fans hate it too, because I know the guys here do stick with the Yankees through and through no matter what you guys say, but Russo is a fucken joke. For those of you that don't know, he's wearing a snowhat with the Yankees logo saying their his new team because the SF Giants suck, he can't be a Twins fan because of the Liriano trade, and basically any other excuse possible. And now he's talking like he's a die-hard saying "Well, we got the break because Selig never made any restrictions with spending money but even then I think we'd overcome that and win the division." What a joke.
